Gregg E. Clifton is the Co-Leader of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Practice Group at Jackson Lewis, and he was named a 2019 National Law Review Go-To Thought Leader for his content on Sports Law. One of the editors of Jackson Lewis’s Sports Law Blog, his highlighted stories from this year include coverage of legislation impacting student-athletes often directly defying the NCAA, as states write laws requiring student-athletes to be able to profit from their likeness while maintaining eligibility to play college sports. His knowledge of the field is obvious, as he explains the impact of these laws and provides National Law Review readers with early information as to which state may be considering this kind of legislation next.
