NASEN

North America Syringe Exchange Network

We are sickened at the continued murder of black people in this country, including at the hands of law enforcement. We are disgusted that a system that excuses and perpetuates this violence exists at all, particularly in America. The loss of George Floyd and too many others is a tragedy. Black lives matter.

At Dave Purchase Project, we are dedicated to addressing inequality and inequity with particular attention to disparities in health, especially those of marginalized populations. This has been and continues to be essential work. We are committed to making this country a healthier place for all.

Saving lives by connecting people and programs with the resources they need to reduce harm.

NASEN is an initiative of the Dave Purchase Project

NASEN was formed in 1992, to support SEPs and to encourage the expansion of a network of organizations and individuals that advocate for syringe exchange. It is the first and largest low cost supplier of harm reduction materials in the US. In 2018, NASEN’s acquired and distributed approximately $10M worth of harm reduction supplies on the behalf of 400 SEPs in the US, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. NASEN provided material support valued at $25K to 28 newly emerging and/or struggling SEPs via program support packages (formerly known as start-up grants).
