Congresswoman is a powerhouse leader in the progressive movement whose experience organizing to protect Black lives makes her the future of the Democratic Party and Congress. I am very proud to partner with her to combat white supremacy and dismantle systemic racism.

I didn't move my office out of fear. I moved my office because I’m here to do a job for the people of St. Louis. What I cannot do is continue to look over my shoulder wondering if a white supremacist in Congress is conspiring against me and my team. Our focus is St. Louis.

The 117th Congress has a mandate to legislate in defense of Black lives. We impeached the white supremacist-in-chief by passing H.Res. 24. We must expel the white supremacists in Congress by passing H.Res. 25.

On Jan. 13 — after members tested positive for COVID-19 after being locked down with her on Jan. 6 — Marjorie Taylor Greene came up from behind me, loud and unmasked. I called out to her to put hers on. Her staff yelled at me, “Stop inciting violence with Black Lives Matter.”

A maskless Marjorie Taylor Greene & her staff berated me in a hallway. She targeted me & others on social media. I'm moving my office away from hers for my team's safety. I've called for the expulsion of members who incited the insurrection from Day 1. Bring H.Res 25 to a vote.

Incarceration is a weapon that has long been used to inflict violence upon Black and brown communities. For us to heal, we need to do more than close private federal prisons. We need to grant clemency, decarcerate, and dismantle our carceral system.

If you can’t sleep safely in your own bed without the threat of a police raid—your environment isn’t safe. That’s why my legislation w/ will map and track police violence along with other indicators of environmental injustice. Environmental justice is racial justice.

I know we’re not even one month into the 117th Congress, but tomorrow feels like a great day to drop my first environmental justice legislation. —you ready? 👀

Defunding the police isn’t radical, it’s real.

Imagine she was your child. Imagine she was your sibling. Imagine she was your friend. We need to replace police officers in our schools with nurses, counselors, and social workers. And we need justice for the abuse that our children have faced at the hands of police.

The stock market isn’t the economy — and we need to start legislating that way. The people need the bailouts that Wall Street continues to get. That starts with monthly and retroactive $2,000 survival checks.

Happiest of birthdays to my revolutionary, iconic, freedom fighting Auntie Angela Davis. “You have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world. And you have to do it all the time.”

Organizing will always be the answer. More than 20 St. Louis organizations are coming together to advance the greatest power we have: the power of the people. St. Louis, your Congresswoman sees you and is ready to do this work together.

I’m so tired of the framing of “unarmed” Black people. There is never justification for police to kill with impunity. We deserve to live. All of us. The police need to stop killing *all* of us. Full stop.

The article of impeachment has been delivered to the Senate. They need to convict Donald J. Trump — and the House needs to pass my resolution to investigate and expel the GOP members of Congress who sabotaged our democracy and incited the insurrection.

I know you’re not used to these, but they’re called consequences, Josh. And you’re handling them very poorly. Resign.

Time and time again, our systems fail to protect Black folks like me. This is a moment of reckoning for our country. If we are to ever achieve true safety and justice, we must dismantle white supremacy.

This is Scott Fairlamb. In June, he threatened my life on social media. We identified him as a threat then, and still, on January 6th, he attacked the Capitol. I don’t want to think about what would’ve happened had he found me that day. This is white supremacy in action.
