  • Is YouTube Space open to the public?

As a global precaution to best protect the health and safety of our Creators and employees, our YouTube Space facilities have been temporarily closed until further notice. We apologize for this inconvenience, and did not make this decision lightly. We are closely following the situation and will provide updates on our site as soon as anything changes. In the meantime, we are offering virtual workshops and events around the world for you to sign-up for through our events calendar page.
  • How do I Unlock the Space?

Unlock the Space is our orientation that grants you access to book a stage and gear for your next project at a YouTube Space. However, due to the current global health crisis, our facilities are temporarily closed. As a result, we are not currently running this orientation for any of our locations. In the meantime, we encourage you to visit our events calendar page to sign-up for any of the global virtual workshops and events we're currently offering to eligible partners.
  • How much does it cost to use YouTube Space?

Nothing. Zip. Zero. We provide just about everything you’ll need to make your next big video here including equipment, studio space, post production facilities, and even trainings and workshops. All at no cost for you.
  • Will I be able to get production crew support?

Our team will be on hand to ensure you have a great experience, but you'll need to bring your own production crew and support.
  • Are there certain regulations around what I can shoot at YouTube Space?

Yep! Content must meet YouTube’s Community Guidelines. Please make sure to familiarize yourself with these as your reservation may be canceled if your production plan is in violation. We also ask for every video produced at YouTube Space to go through a legal clearance review prior to publishing. This entails submitting your unpublished video for our team to confirm it’s free and clear of any legal or copyright claims. Don’t worry though, we explain all of this in detail during Unlock the Space.
  • How can I keep track of the latest events and workshops?

We are always offering experiences that will help you grow, meet others in the community, and just stay inspired. The best way to stay up-to-date is to sign-up for our newsletter where we always send the latest opportunities available. You can also visit your city's page to check out the events calendar for upcoming events and workshops.
  • How often is the newsletter sent?

We prefer not to clog your inbox, so we send our newsletter whenever we have events, workshops or production programs that you need to know about. This is usually once a month, but if it’s a busy month you could hear from us twice.
  • What is a Pop-up?

Pop-up Spaces closely resemble our permanent Spaces providing you with opportunities to create content and attend platform and production workshops.
