We value the trust you place in us when you give us access to your Personal Data. This Privacy Policy describes how we work to maintain that trust and details our collection, use and disclosure of the information you give to us when you access or use ResumePerfector.com, including without limitation any standard or mobile versions of this website and the services, products and features we offer on it, and any software or mobile applications we may provide on or in connection with ResumePerfector.com (collectively, “ResumePerfector.com”).

This Privacy Policy incorporates by reference the Terms of Service that apply to your use of ResumePerfector.com.  When you visit ResumePerfector.com or provide us with information in connection with any service, product or feature offered on ResumePerfector.com, you consent to our use and disclosure of the information we collect, as described in this Privacy Policy, unless separate terms are offered by you in writing and accepted in writing by us.

Indeed, Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”) is the Controller for purposes of all processing of Personal Data that we collect in accordance with this Privacy Policy in connection with your use of ResumePerfector.com, unless otherwise provided for in a separate written agreement.  Please feel free to contact us at the information provided below in Section 12 if you have any questions or concerns related to our handling of your Personal Data.

1.1 Our Privacy Center 

Our core mission is to help job seekers find great jobs, and employers find great candidates.  Since each of our affiliates shares this core mission, we developed the Privacy Center as a way of educating our users about our affiliates and how we share data with them to provide the strongest product and service offerings to our users.  We encourage you to visit the Privacy Center to learn more.

1.2 Personal Data and Personal Information

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, Personal Data and Personal Information are used interchangeably to mean any information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person.  Non-personal data is any other information, such as aggregate, statistical data, we collect when you access or use ResumePerfector.com. Where this Privacy Policy refers to “data” or “information,” this may include both Personal Data and non-personal data.

1.3 The Scope of Our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy covers only data that we collect through ResumePerfector.com and from third-party sources in connection with your use of ResumePerfector.com.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to any other data collection or processing, including, without limitation, our data collection practices on Indeed.com or the data collection practices of our affiliates (please visit the Privacy Center to learn more about our privacy practices applicable to Indeed.com and our affiliates’ privacy practices) or other third-parties, including any third-party operators of webpages to which ResumePerfector.com links, and any information that we collect offline or through any websites, products, or services that do not display a direct link to this Privacy Policy.

1.4 Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time.  We encourage you to visit this section of ResumePerfector.com periodically to keep abreast of any changes.  Each time we update this Privacy Policy, we will add a new effective date at the top of the page in the “Last Updated” legend.  Any changes and additions to this Privacy Policy will become effective on the “Last Updated” date indicated above and by continuing to use ResumePerfector.com or provide us information after that date, you agree to all changes, additions, and other amendments to this Privacy Policy.  In some cases, we may notify you of changes to this Privacy Policy if we feel that we are using your Personal Data collected through ResumePerfector.com in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection. We will provide this notice in accordance with applicable law; however, typically, it will be in the form of an email to you or a notice posted to ResumePerfector.com for 30 days prior to the materially different use.

We take privacy seriously and recognize our users do too.  We crafted this Privacy Policy with the intention of keeping our users informed about how we process their data in accordance with their expectations and applicable law.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information from and about you when you use ResumePerfector.com.  We may also obtain information about you from our affiliates and business partners, other third-parties and publicly available sources. 

2.1 Resume, Contact and Other Information You Provide through Your Use of ResumePerfector.com

We collect information, including Personal Data, from you when you create an account, request information, subscribe for a service, create or post a resume, upload content or otherwise actively send us your data on or through ResumePerfector.com, including by accessing ResumePerfector.com. This may include your user name, password, first and last name, email address, telephone number (including mobile phone number), home address, occupation, professional experience, education, interests, and any other data included in a submitted profile or resume or that you choose to upload to ResumePerfector.com.

2.2 Through Your Activity on ResumePerfector.com

In addition, as part of the standard operation of ResumePerfector.com, we may collect and analyze information from your computer or mobile device and about actions taken on ResumePerfector.com, including but not limited to your activity on ResumePerfector.com (such as page views, clicks, taps, session activity and time) and information about your browser and the device you use to access ResumePerfector.com (such as browser, operating system and device type, MAC address, IP address, and the name of the originating domain from which you accessed ResumePerfector.com).

We may also track information about our users of ResumePerfector.com in the aggregate for various purposes, including to analyze trends and statistics about the use of ResumePerfector.com, including our services, products, and features.  This includes the total number of visitors to ResumePerfector.com, the number of visitors to each page of ResumePerfector.com, IP addresses, the URLs of external websites linked to ResumePerfector.com, the domain names of our users’ Internet Service Providers, and operating system and browser types.  We may use such aggregate information to analyze trends, administer ResumePerfector.com, and track users’ movements for aggregate use. Such aggregate information is not unique to you nor is it linked to any Personal Data that can be used to identify a natural person. 2.3 When You Create an Account or Log In to ResumePerfector.com from a Third-Party Website 

You may also create an account at ResumePerfector.com, and log in to your existing ResumePerfector.com account, using your account with a third-party provider such as Google or Facebook. If you do not already have a ResumePerfector.com account and log in to ResumePerfector.com using your third-party account, this will create a ResumePerfector.com account for the same email address associated with your third-party account.  If you choose this method of account creation or log in at ResumePerfector.com the third-party will authenticate you and redirect you to ResumePerfector.com. Please note that by using your third-party account to create a ResumePerfector.com account or to log in to an existing ResumePerfector.com account, the third-party may set a cookie or other tracking technology on your device in order to authenticate you as a user of the third-party’s website and possibly for other purposes.  We encourage you to review your other account providers’ terms (including privacy and cookie policies) to understand more information about their use of cookies and other tracking technologies. This Privacy Policy does not apply to cookies or other tracking technologies set by any such third-parties, or their related privacy practices, when you visit their websites, including but not limited to by following a link from ResumePerfector.com.

By accessing ResumePerfector.com through the use of your account with a third-party, you understand that your third-party account provider may share certain data with ResumePerfector.com for the purpose of authenticating you to permit you to access ResumePerfector.com in a secure manner.  Our privacy practices described in this Privacy Policy apply only to the information we receive from your third-party account provider about you in connection with this authentication and log in process. As part of this authentication and log in process, your third-party account provider may separately request your consent to share additional information with ResumePerfector.com, which may include but is not limited to your name, profile picture, profile information, and email address.  Disabling any connection between your third-party accounts and ResumePerfector.com must be handled through the third-party account providers’ settings and controls. Any inquiries related to your third-party account providers’ data sharing practices also must be directed to that provider and are not within the scope of this Privacy Policy.  

We may also collect information stored in your social media profile that you authorize us to access when you use your social media profile to invoke features on ResumePerfector.com.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP YOUR THIRD-PARTY ACCOUNT PROVIDER IS GOVERNED SOLELY BY YOUR AGREEMENT WITH SUCH THIRD-PARTY.  THIS PRIVACY POLICY DOES NOT APPLY TO YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH ANY SUCH THIRD-PARTY.

2.4 Other Personal Data that ResumePerfector.com may Receive from Third Parties

We may offer links on ResumePerfector.com to third-party websites that allow you to share information, including your resume and other information gathered through your use of ResumePerfector.com, with a third-party website and from a third-party website to ResumePerfector.com.  When you click a link to a third-party website, you are no longer on ResumePerfector.com and your use of the third-party website is subject to the terms and conditions (including any privacy and cookie policies) of that website. For more information on your interaction with third-party websites, please see Section 11 of this Privacy Policy.

Any Personal Data that ResumePerfector.com may receive from third-party websites through your use of ResumePerfector.com will be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  

2.5 Your Personal Data may be required

Typically, we will prompt you at the point when you provide your Personal Data to us whether or not it is necessary that you provide this information in order for ResumePerfector.com to provide particular services, products or features to you.  If you choose not to provide your Personal Data in such instances when it is necessary, some or all of our services, products or features available on ResumePerfector.com may not be available to you.  

2.6 The Legal Basis on Which ResumePerfector.com Collects Your Personal Data

We do not actively market ResumePerfector.com to data subjects within the EU, or where similar laws apply.  Nevertheless, if you are visiting ResumePerfector.com from the EU or where similar laws apply, we collect and process your Personal Data on the basis of different legal grounds, depending on the nature of the Personal Data being provided and the type of processing involved.

Performance of a Contract.  We process certain Personal Data collected in connection with our operation of ResumePerfector.com on the basis that such processing is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you, or in order to take steps at the request of the user prior to entering such an agreement. An example of this would be where ResumePerfector.com provides a Relay Service. 

Legitimate Interest.  We also process your Personal Data collected in connection with our operation of ResumePerfector.com when such processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by us in connection with making available to you the services, products and features on ResumePerfector.com. This includes where we send you certain forms of marketing about our products and services on ResumePerfector.com, where we believe you have a reasonable expectation that we will perform a particular type of processing on your behalf, or where such processing is strictly necessary for fraud detection and prevention. A further example would be where we share your Personal Data with our affiliates as detailed 4.6 below.  We will only rely on such a ground where an assessment has been performed balancing the interests and rights involved and the necessity of the processing in order to provide to you the services, products and features available on ResumePerfector.com.

Compliance with a Legal Obligation.  We may also process your Personal Data when such processing is necessary for us to comply with a legal obligation.  An example of this would be where we are required to retain business records for fixed periods of time in order to comply with local legal requirements.

Consent. Finally, in certain limited situations, we rely on your consent in order to process your Personal Data. Where we require your consent in order to collect and process certain Personal Data, we seek your consent when you provide your Personal Data or before undertaking such processing, and such processing will only be performed where consent is secured.  You can withdraw your consent by following the steps listed in section 10 of this Privacy Policy or by sending an email to resumeperfector-privacy@rgf-ohr.com.

2.7 Storage of Your Personal Data

We retain our users’ Personal Data to the extent it is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. In particular, we do not retain your Personal Data for any longer than necessary to perform the services, products and features outlined in this Privacy Policy that you request from us when you use or access ResumePerfector.com.

If you create a ResumePerfector.com account, we may store your Personal Data in a manner that connects it to your account email address. We may also create and store with your ResumePerfector.com account a unique device identifier (a numeric or alphanumeric string of characters) that is associated with the device you use to access ResumePerfector.com, which we may also associate with information we collect about your device and your telephone number, country, and any other information you choose to provide, such as user name, email address, or zip code. Such data is processed solely in accordance with the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, to the extent applicable.

We may also store the information detailed in section 2 of the Privacy Policy on our equipment or the equipment of third-parties with which we have a relationship.  Such storage services will be governed by appropriate protections, as required by applicable rules. More information on the security measures applied to your Personal Data is available in Section 6, below.

3. Limitation of Use or Disclosure of Personal Data

3.1 Where You Want to Close Your Account

When you close your ResumePerfector.com account, you will no longer have access to any of the data we make available under that account name with ResumePerfector.com.  If you use the same email address to set up a new account, this data from a previous account will not become available to you again. Please also note that closing your account may result in you losing access to some or all of the services, products and features available on ResumePerfector.com.

We reserve the right to keep any materials in a closed account as necessary to preserve and protect our rights to the extent permitted by law (for example, to preserve records of a dispute), to comply with our obligations under local law (for example, if requested to retain by law enforcement), or to ensure resiliency in the event of natural disaster or other business interruption.  We do not delete your data from our systems when you close your account with ResumePerfector.com, although such data will not remain readily available to you under your original account name or email address.

If you wish to access or delete your Personal Data held by us in connection with your use of ResumePerfector.com, you should follow the steps listed in section 10 of this Privacy Policy, and such a request will be processed in accordance with applicable law.

3.2 Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of sixteen (16), nor is ResumePerfector.com designed to collect information from or directed at children under the age of sixteen (16).  If you are under the age of sixteen (16), or between the ages of sixteen (16) and eighteen (18) if unaccompanied by a responsible adult, you are not authorized to use ResumePerfector.com and should not send us any Personal Data through ResumePerfector.com or by other means.  If you have reason to believe that anyone under the age of sixteen (16), or between the ages of sixteen (16) and eighteen (18) if unaccompanied by a responsible adult, may have used ResumePerfector.com and shared his or her Personal Data with us, please contact us at resumeperfector-privacy@rgf-ohr.com or at the information provided below in section 10 of this Privacy Policy and we will delete the Personal Data in accordance with applicable laws.

4. Purposes, Uses, and Disclosures of Your Personal Data

We may process your Personal Data for any of the purposes set forth in sections 4, 5 and 9 of this Privacy Policy, to the extent applicable, including to:

1. provide and tailor our services, products and features to you,
2. connect you with our affiliates and unaffiliated third-parties to help you find jobs,
3. measure and improve ResumePerfector.com, including the services, products and features we make available to you on ResumePerfector.com, and
4. protect our users and provide them with customer support.

More detail on these purposes, uses and disclosures of your Personal Data is set out below.

4.1 Creating and Administering Your Account

We may use your Personal Data for purposes of creating and administering your account with ResumePerfector.com, such as: to provide our services, products and features to you that you request; to communicate with you about ResumePerfector.com and improvements to it, as well as in relation to any service, product, or feature you may request in connection with your use of ResumePerfector.com; to provide administrative notices or communications applicable to your use of ResumePerfector.com; to respond to your questions and comments and provide customer support; to enable you to communicate with us through our blogs, social networks and other interactive media; to solicit your feedback and input; to operate ResumePerfector.com; and to evaluate and improve our business and the services, products and features we offer, including without limitation those available on ResumePerfector.com.

4.2 Your Resume Information

We collect your information when you use ResumePerfector.com to create a resume or you upload your resume information to ResumePerfector.com.  Once provided to us, this information becomes part of your ResumePerfector.com profile and you can access most of it by logging into your account.  Your resumes linked to your ResumePerfector.com profile are viewable only by you and are not publicly available on ResumePerfector.com.

4.3 Sending Messages on ResumePerfector.com 

ResumePerfector.com may provide one- and two- way message proxy and relay services to users of ResumePerfector.com, including an email relay service and other electronic communication services that may be in the form of phone, text, video or audio (collectively, the “Relay Service”). By utilizing any Relay Service, you acknowledge that you are asking ResumePerfector.com to send these messages, including any information you choose to include with your messages (such as your resume and contact information, and any other Personal Data), on your behalf.  

We reserve the right to process, monitor, review, store and analyze such content, including via automated means, for data analysis, quality control, enforcement of our policies, content moderation, and to improve ResumePerfector.com or any other ResumePerfector.com product or service. Examples of such improvements would be improving the open rate of messages by optimizing their delivery and preventing fraud and spam. As a result of this activity, or due to technical malfunction, in certain circumstances such content may be delayed or may not be delivered to the intended recipient. ResumePerfector.com may (but is not obligated to) notify you in such an event. By using a Relay Service or otherwise providing your Personal Data through ResumePerfector.com, you agree to this activity and acknowledge that this activity is necessary for maintaining the quality of the Site and for providing the Relay Service.

4.4 Sending You Promotional and Marketing Materials

If and to the extent permitted by applicable law, we may use your Personal Data to send you promotional materials and communications about ResumePerfector.com, including our services, products and features we make available on ResumePerfector.com, including any services, products and features available on ResumePerfector.com. We may use third-party partners to perform these activities on our behalf.  We may also share your information with third-parties (including operators of third-party websites and/or social networking sites) in order to show you personally tailored and targeted advertisements and other content about ResumePerfector.com’s services, products, and features. 

You may opt-out of receiving promotional and marketing communications from us about the services, products and features of ResumePerfector.com by contacting us at the information provided below in section 11 of this Privacy Policy.

4.5 Preventing Fraud and Spam, and Complying with Legal Obligations

We may disclose your Personal Data to law enforcement or other public authorities (including courts and tribunals) where we are legally required or compelled to do so (such as in response to a subpoena, search warrant, court order or other legal process) or we otherwise determine, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary to defend our interests in legal, administrative or other proceedings, to comply with the law, to cooperate with or seek assistance from law enforcement, to prevent a crime (such as to prevent fraud or spam) or protect national security, or to protect your interests or safety or that of other users of ResumePerfector.com. This means, for example, that we may honor subpoenas, search warrants, law enforcement requests, and court-mandated directions to reveal your Personal Data, including your identity and email address.  

4.6 Sharing Your Information with Our Affiliates

Our core mission is to help job seekers find great jobs, and employers find great candidates, which is a mission we share with each of our affiliates. In order to support that mission we share certain information with our affiliates. Such information sharing is governed by this Privacy Policy.  We also developed the Privacy Center as a way of educating our users about our affiliates and how we share data with them to provide the strongest product and service offerings to our users. We encourage you to visit the Privacy Center to learn more.

Information shared by you with Indeed in connection with your use of ResumePerfector.com may be shared with any Indeed affiliated entity, no matter where located, to provide you with services, to improve ResumePerfector.com and optimize functionality on ResumePerfector.com, and other purposes as described in this Policy. In particular, such sharing strengthens Indeed’s ability to help people find jobs and employers find good candidates. The services provided to you and the functionality of ResumePerfector.com could not be provided without such transfers. If you do not wish your information to be transferred in this way you should not use ResumePerfector.com.

For the purposes of this Policy, “affiliates” means any entity that directly or indirectly, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control of or with an Indeed entity, now or in the future. “Control” for these purposes means having a majority of shares or the right and ability to direct management. And this includes Indeed affiliated entities located outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or Switzerland.

Examples of our affiliates and affiliated websites include: Indeed, Glassdoor, Simply Hired, Syft/Indeed Flex, Resume.com, Workopolis, Wowjobs.com, Engineerjobs.com, and RescueMyResumes.com.

Such data sharing with our affiliates will be performed for a number of specific reasons.

– Improved Services

It provides Job Seekers with more personalized and improved content, performance, features and services on ResumePerfector.com, Indeed.com, and our affiliates’ websites. For example, we use your previous search and browsing history (e.g. the jobs you click on), IP address, or your resume or profile information, to determine relevant search results, job alerts, display and moderate career insights, such as company reviews, job listing salary data, interview tips and more. Such sharing is also performed to facilitate improved data analysis, testing, research, and service improvement.

– More Employers, More Job Listings and More Job Seekers

Such data sharing allows Job Seekers to access an even broader database of Job Listings and Employers, and for Employers to access more Job Seekers. For example, this allows Indeed and its affiliates to recommend more jobs or employers on Indeed.com and other affiliated websites.  It also facilitates applications and the display of job listings on such websites.

We and our affiliates are able to recommend job seekers (and their resumes or resume extracts) to an employer hosted by us or an affiliate.  Equally, we and our affiliates are able to recommend job listings hosted by us or by an affiliate to job seekers visiting ResumePerfector.com and websites of our affiliates. We and our affiliates can also share employer data (such as account information and behavioral data) to provide a better experience to those employers.

– Better Security for Users

Such data sharing allows us and our affiliates to process your Personal Data for the purpose of improving user security and internal operations, troubleshooting, and detecting and preventing fraud and spam.

You should not use ResumePerfector.com if you wish not to have your Personal Data shared this way.  

4.7 Automated Processing of Your Personal Data

In order to optimize the performance of ResumePerfector.com and our services for users, we perform automated processing of Personal Data evaluating certain specific aspects relating to a user, in particular to analyze or predict aspects concerning a user’s personal preferences or interests in terms of our Site and services. Where it occurs, such processing is carried out if it is necessary for the performance of our agreement with our users, to allow us to provide our services to our users, or in other cases on the basis of a user’s consent.

4.8 Transfers of Information to Service Providers

We may use third parties to perform services in connection with our operations, to improve ResumePerfector.com and our services, products, and features, to protect our users and better understand their needs, and to optimize the services and the users’ experiences. These service providers may have access to Personal Data in the course of providing these services, which may involve transfers of such Personal Data to other countries. Such transfers are only made for the purposes set forth in sections 4, 5 and 9 of this Privacy Policy, to the extent applicable and necessary.  Our sharing of your Personal Data with service providers is performed in full compliance with applicable data protection rules and subject to appropriate safeguards, primarily through the use of agreements between us and the recipients that ensure adequate protection of our user’s Personal Data.

4.9 Transfers of Publicly Available Information

When you post content on ResumePerfector.com in a manner that is intended to make that content publicly available and searchable by individuals, we reserve the right to aggregate and share that information with third-parties. For example, if you create a resume on or upload a resume to ResumePerfector.com in a manner that makes the information publicly available to users of ResumePerfector.com, we may share your public resume, including the Personal Data contained in it, with third-parties.  We will do this at our sole discretion, and subject to any agreement we may have with such third-parties. We also reserve the right to share information aggregated from public sources in this capacity.

4.10 Third-Party Sites Linked-to From ResueMyResumes.com

You may also use certain third-party websites or services, including those of our affiliates, that you link to from our Site. In such cases, the information you provide to the third-party is subject to the third-party’s terms and conditions, and privacy practices (including any privacy and cookie policies).  Please see section 8 of this Privacy Policy for more information regarding links to third-party sites on ResumePerfector.com.

5. Additional Uses and Disclosures of Non-Personal Data

In addition to the other uses and disclosures of information set forth in this Privacy Policy, and notwithstanding anything in this Privacy Policy to the contrary, we may use and disclose, for any purpose, any non-personal data, except where we are required to do otherwise under applicable law. If we combine any non-personal data with Personal Data, then we will only use and disclose such combined information for the purposes described in sections 4 and 9 of this Privacy Policy while it is so combined.

6. Security

We seek to use reasonable security measures to help protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the Personal Data under our control.  However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. In addition, please note that emails, messages sent via your web browser, and other similar means of communication with other users (such as our Relay Service), are not encrypted. Therefore, while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its security.

Please also be aware that we may use third-party cloud service providers that provide hosting, data storage and other services pursuant to standard terms and conditions that may be nonnegotiable; these service providers have informed us or the general public that they apply security measures they consider adequate for the protection of information within their system, or they have a general reputation for applying such measures. However, we will not be liable (to the fullest extent permitted by law) for any damages that may result from the misuse of any information, including Personal Data, by these companies.

7. Cookies

“Cookies” are small pieces of information that are st7ored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Please see our Cookie Policy for further information regarding our use of Cookies on ResumePerfector.com.

– Do Not Track Requests

Your browser automatically shares certain information about you, such as your IP address and other information about your device and browser, with the websites you visit that may be considered Personal Data under applicable laws.  Some browsers allow you to send websites you visit a signal commonly referred to as a “Do Not Track” signal. As there is not yet an agreement on how to respond to such signals, we do not respond to them or alter our privacy practices in any way. 

8. Links to Third-Party Sites

ResumePerfector.com may contain links to other websites that we do not operate, including those of our affiliates listed in the Privacy Center. When you click on a link to another website, including Indeed.com and any websites operated by one of our affiliates, you may leave ResumePerfector.com and your browser may also disclose information, such as the URL of the page on which you clicked the link, to the operator of the other website.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to the content or privacy practices of any such linked websites and we are not responsible for any third party’s, including our affiliates, privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any linked website before interacting with it, as the privacy practices may differ from those listed in this Privacy Policy. You should direct any questions about the privacy practices of linked websites to their respective operators.

9. Acquisitions and Other Reorganizations

Information collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy, including Personal Data, may be disclosed to one or more third-parties (including our affiliates and parent company) in connection with any change of ownership or control in our business (whether by merger, sale, or otherwise), or any other reorganization or joint venture, or assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceeding), and any such information may be used by such third-party in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 

10. Your Privacy Rights

10.6 Some Limitations

Such rights of rectification, objection, restriction, access, portability and deletion are subject to certain limitations, as provided for by applicable laws. Individual requests will be completed within the time allotted by relevant regulations, which starts to run from the point of ResumePerfector.com confirming your request. Where permitted, please note there may be a charge for subsequent requests from the same individual, which will be determined by us and only imposed to the extent permitted by applicable law.
