We visit with faculty, staff, and students at many colleges and universities to talk about Open Pedagogy, Open Educational Resources (OER), critical and empowering uses of technology in teaching and learning, and future possibilities for higher education. We love to share the good work that is being piloted and developed across courses and colleges, and have often wished for a collaborative space where educators could share assignments, approaches, syllabi, and other examples of their Open practices. Though definitions of “Open Pedagogy” are emergent and diverse, and this site is intended to inspire more than to inform, we hope having a space to gather interesting and promising work will be helpful to both advocates of Open and those who are new to these ideas.
We would love to include your work here! Examples that focus on concrete practices are always appreciated, but if you have something more conceptual, a different definition for “Open Pedagogy,” or even just the stub of an idea, feel free to share that as well. Though we come from the world of higher education, we also welcome K-12 examples. To submit work, please use the form below or, if you’d prefer email us directly at contribute@openpedagogy.org. Note that we do minimal editing, so please try to have your work in a form that is ready to be posted, and include a short bio along with your submission.
