Downgrading Git Large File Storage

When you downgrade your number of data packs, your change takes effect on your next billing date. For more information, see "About billing for Git Large File Storage."

Downgrading storage and bandwidth for a personal account

1. In the upper-right corner of any page, click your profile photo, then click Settings.
   
2. In your user settings sidebar, click Billing.
   
3. Click Subscriptions.
   
4. Next to "Git LFS Data", use the Edit drop-down and click Remove data packs.
   
5. Under "Downgrade data plan", select the number of data packs you'd like to downgrade to.
   
6. To finish downgrading, click Downgrade data plan.
   

Downgrading storage and bandwidth for an organization

Only organization members with the owner or billing manager role can access or change billing settings for your organization.

1. In the top right corner of GitHub, click your profile photo, then click Your profile.
   
2. On the left side of your profile page, under "Organizations", click the icon for your organization.
   
3. Under your organization name, click Settings.
   
4. In your organization's Settings sidebar, click Billing.
   
5. Click Subscriptions.
   
6. Next to "Git LFS Data", use the Edit drop-down and click Remove data packs.
   
7. Under "Downgrade data plan", select the number of data packs you'd like to downgrade to.
   
8. To finish downgrading, click Downgrade data plan.
