OpenUK’s Community is led by Chief Community Officer, Darren West who supports the work of a number of Work Streams including the Awards, Events and Museums Work Streams.

OpenUK launches a Supporter model, in October 2020. Supporters pay a rolling monthly subscription to support funding the organisation and in return the subscription allows individuals to:

• Support the work of Open UK
• Be part of a movement to promote Open Technology
• Connect with other participants in our community, networking and mentorship
• Gain access to discounts, free tickets or early access to events
• Vote and nominate in Board elections (subject to being a subscriber for a minimum of 6 consecutive months prior to any elections). Our First Board Elections will take place in September 2021
