I Pour Life is doing great work in great ways! My first trip with I Pour Life was March 2019, and my next is March 2020. I am an educator who has the privilege of combining my faith and my career skills to help educators across the globe in a community that has many needs. I read the book "When Helping Hurts" when I returned from our first trip to Kore and felt even more excited about the way I Pour Life is involved in the Kore community. They truly believe that anyone can thrive and show respect to those they serve and use advisory teams to make important decisions about needs. "Giving a hand up, not a hand out" is a catch phrase, but it is fitting for what I see in this nonprofit. I am honored to be an Education Ambassador for I Pour Life and can't wait to see what impact the work will have in many lives!
I Pour Life is an incredible organization. I've been a part of their programs both locally and globally for several years now and have seen first-hand the impact they are having in peoples' lives. They go above and beyond what others do and truly become family to those they serve. They are also extremely transparent in funding, and I know every dollar I give goes is put to good use and is helping someone transform their life into one where they are thriving, loved, and happy!
I have met many women in Kore Ethiopia whose lives have been changed from the Women’s Empowerment Program. I Pour Life has helped them choose a business initiative, given them resources and training, and watched them succeed. Now they are able to adequately feed and care for their children as well as give them an education.
I Pour Life genuinely cares about people. They call all the volunteers and people in their programs, family. This is a unique organization that is changing people's lives through their work. It's an honor to be a part of I Pour Life.
I have followed I Pour Life for many years now. I met Julie Higgins, founder and CEO, when I was in high school. I was blown away by her vision then, and I have continually been impressed throughout the years. Julie, as well as the rest of the I Pour Life staff, have a heart for people that is unmatched. Whether working with youth in the Springfield area or empowering women in Kore, Ethiopia-- I Pour Life is leading the way for positive change! I personally know a few of the youth that have participated in the Life Strengths program; the difference that it has made in their lives is immeasurable. Kids that didn't believe they could graduate high school are now on their way to accomplishing college degrees. Beyond measurable accomplishments, youth are finding peace and self-assurance through I Pour Life and the incredible people who work there. I am so excited to see all that I Pour Life will be able to accomplish in the coming years. Missouri, and our world, needs more of what I Pour Life has to offer.
I've been involved with I Pour Life for a little 2 years. For the past 7 months I've been volunteering as a community coach; paired with an at risk youth that is close to aging out of the foster care system. I really believe in IPL's mission to love people and kids where they are in their life and that anyone can be successful if taught life skills. IPL does a great job training, educating and supporting their volunteers. If you're looking for a fulfilling role and/or giving to a cause that is truly changing peoples lives here in the US and abroad, you should. You will not be disappointed.
I went to Kore, Ethiopia this summer through I Pour Life Texas. I Pour Life is a great nonprofit! Dollar for dollar I knew exactly what my money was going towards. I could also directly see the impact the organization was making in the lives of the locals. My heart was forever changed by the time that I got to spend in Ethiopia thanks to I Pour Life!
I Pour Life is a great organization which helps young adults, who struggle managing their life, with LifeCoaches. It is a great program and the people who work there is very dedicated and passionated about it. I had the opportunity to volunteer in a fundraiser that benefited IPL in Dallas TX and learned a lot how they help in the community, and that they also help women in Africa. Love I Pour Life Texas and will continuo volunteering.
I Pour Life in Dallas, Texas is a wonderful organization that provides a mentoring program for homeless and at-risk youth in our area. I volunteered at a tennis tournament fundraiser for I Pour Life this winter and loved the experience! The stories told at the tournament were inspirational and motivating!
Such a great organization! I went to Ethiopia with them and had an incredible experience! Wanting to go again ASAP!
This Non-Profit understands what it means to serve others. By walking hand in hand with people of all walks of life. Loving, leading and teaching people their worth.
I Pour Life is a great organization with a wonderful cause.
I worked in a Team organizing a tennis tournament in Dallas, Texas.
It was a great experience!
People was so happy to be part of this event helping I Pour Life to reach the goal...
I've loved volunteering with I Pour Life and they're my favorite nonprofit to give to. I've seen their operations firsthand in the Springfield, MO and in Ethiopia. They treat everyone they come in contact with as family and care deeply about that family. I believe I Pour Life is extremely trustworthy and a great place to invest time and money.
I recently returned from my second trip to Ethiopia with I Pour Life. What an amazing experience to work with such honest, caring, and intentional people.
The I Pour Life team has made unbelievable progress building strong relationships in Kore, Ethiopia. Both trips were organized and well run by I Pour Life staff. Many people have asked if I felt safe traveling to Africa and the answer is absolutely! The Ethiopian I Pour Life team takes great care of volunteers. I learned SO much about the culture and how we can continue to help the women and children in Ethiopia. I was sad to leave but inspired to get back home and continue to help our at risk youth in Dallas/Fort Worth. I highly recommend volunteering with I Pour Life Texas and Ethiopia.... your time is needed and will NOT be wasted.
I-pour life is an awesome organization! They are doing inspiring work in Ethiopia and in Springfield, Missouri. The I-Pour Life staff tirelessly reach out to individuals in poverty, empowering them to become self-sufficient.
I Pour Life is doing AMAZING and NEEDED work in the Dallas area with homeless and at-risk youth. I had the privilege of volunteering over the holidays. WOW. The void they are filling with Life Coaches to teach and train kids with no hope and help prepare them for the future is truly inspiring. Thank you I Pour Life Texas!!!
As a Social Work and Counseling student, I am so drawn to the work I Pour Life does locally to reach at-risk youth in our communities. I just got back from my second trip to Ethiopia with IPL and spent a lot of time serving the women in their women's empowerment program as well as spending time with the kids in their orphan care program. I cannot wait to go back next year and it is so exciting witnessing all the Lord is doing through those apart of I Pour Life for the community of Kore, Ethiopia.
I Pour Life is a great organization that has a huge heart for the youth they serve. The staff at I Pour Life consistently go above and beyond to impact the youth in this community. They are all truly a family, and always want the youth to know that they, themselves, are a part of that family, too.
I Pour Life is such an amazing organization. They do such amazing things to serve the Lord, and help kids and women in need. They take missionary trips to Ethiopia and help women start their own businesses, and give kids the opportunity to do things that they aren’t able to do.
I love I Pour Life because I have seen them selflessly pour themselves into the community. They live out their mission by putting others first and giving hope to those who desperately need it.
Thank you all for all you do!!
This organization is doing some amazing work with and for at risk youth! Their stories are inspiring, systems are impressive, and staff are soo passionate. Keep it up I Pour Life!
I’ve been able to witness first hand how I Pour Life is impacting people both locally and globally, helping them by teaching tools for sustainability and continuing to support them by being their biggest fans. I Pour Life’s holistic view of non profit and mission work is something I’m honored to be a part of and will continue to support for years to come.
There is so much to say. The work they are doing with the kids is so awesome. It’s hard to believe that in this day and age there are so many kids who do not have the best support systems. The programs at I Pour Life give family to these kids and young adults and is truly amazing. Doesn’t everyone deserve unconditional love and support? And if given the chance, you can see lives changed in awesome ways.
What a fantastic organization. Helping those kids who just need someone to listen and love them. Well done I Pour Life.
I've been privileged to know Julie for many many years and she is such a strong woman that cares deeply for everyone. She leads the team at iPourlife so well with vision and strength. I've gotten to go on a number of trips with IPL and photograph a lot of the images they use and it's so cool seeing my photos be used for such an incredible mission.
I stand behind iPourlife!
I Pour is a wonderful and much needed non-profit organization in our community. I have seen those they help meeting their goals with the support of their coaches and I have seen how much the coaches truly care about those in the program. I have donated many things to the program and every time I go in the office it very much feels like a home. Keep up the amazing work!
I Pour Life is an amazing non-profit organization that meets so many needs in my own city and around the world. I love hearing the stories of young men and women in my town who develop as individuals, accomplishing so much with the help of those mentoring them.
I pour life is an integral part of our community. By serving and providing a hand up for the young adults in our town, they are meeting a need that has been ignored by many. They are reaching populations in our home town and across the world that others have overlooked. So thankful for Ipourlife in our community and the difference they are making around the world.
I Pour Life is the first non-profit I've traveled with. Seeing first hand how they come alongside families that are outcast and ostracized, and extend love and acceptance immediately taught me a lot about how to care for the hurting. My family continues to support I pour Life because we have witnessed the impact of our investment firsthand. Plus, their vision for sustainable solutions is second to none. I am proud to be associated with them.
This organization changes lives. I've seen it develop from a dream to a reality. I have been impressed how they stay true to their vision and truly care about every individual. I wish there was one in every city. Thanks to the I Pour Life team. Keep up the invaluable work you're doing.
From my first interaction with Julie Higgins, co-founder of I Pour Life organization, to my most recent trip to Ethiopia as their Goodwill Ambassador, I’ve remained confident in the leadership, vision and lasting impact IPL creates. With sustainability at the core, I see real compassion coupled with strategic organization and implementation transform people and entire areas from the inside out. IPL assesses situations holistically and brings solutions that are circumstantially pragmatic as well as soulfully enriching. I see transformation, resilience, and measurable improvement in the quality of life of thousands of people from every background. IPL teams work sensitively and directly with those in need, breaking barriers between communities and cultures on a genuine level. People are seen, heard and supported over a period of time, a much more helpful methodology than giving handouts without any further assistance. I continue to observe and admire the many programs IPL offers, as well as participate as often as possible, especially in teaching women trades, health care and life skills. It’s an honor to share life with so many people and see them pour all they learn into the next generations. IPL is all you’d hope an organization could be. -Alyson Stoner
