At the end of fiscal year (FY) 2019, the Institute had $20.1 billion in consolidated diversified net assets, making it one of the world’s largest private supporters of basic biomedical research and science education. Over the last five years, the Institute has provided almost $4 billion in direct support for research and science education, based on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
