Harry J. Bentham
Harry J. Bentham is a futurist blogger based in Britain, and the author
of the
L’Ordre column at
the world’s top faith website Beliefnet. Harry is the author of several
books including his first futurist book,
Catalyst: A Techno-Liberation
Thesis. He has been published at a wide
variety of online publications, including the website of the academic
Institute
for Ethics and Emerging Technologies (IEET).
Harry’s unusual works have placed emphasis on global economic
disparities and the benefits of technology-driven social change, and are
gaining overwhelming support from his readers. His writings have
featured at the Dissident
Voice newsletter, the transhumanist publication
h+ Magazine, and a column with the major international news
broadcaster
Press TV. He has even made
headlines with political comments and analysis.
In line with his student background in International Relations at Lancaster
University and his charity work, Harry’s political commentaries have placed
emphasis on global economic disparities and the benefits of
technology-driven social change. While still studying at university in 2010
and 2011, Harry was influenced significantly by the theories of American
Yale sociologist Immanuel Wallerstein and authored blogs and web videos to
promote those theories. As a result of this, Immanuel Wallerstein’s
sociology
continues to be a key influence in all of his work.
Further essay collections include the anti-statist book
Flagless:
Accepting the End of Nations.
