Nurilign Ahmed

Nurilign Ahmed is a senior policy analyst in the global health programme, working on the International Decision Support Initiative (iDSI). Previously, Ahmed worked as a health economist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) focusing on HIV, costing and cost-effectiveness analysis, and health technology assessment. She also worked for the Cost-Effectiveness of HIV Testing Services technical working group (CENTS) at the World Health Organisation. Ahmed spent four years in Zambia and Rwanda working with Emory University—supported through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There, she provided technical assistance on a national Couples HIV Counseling Testing (CHCT) strategic framework for the Ministry of Health in multiple African countries, including Zambia, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Tanzania, Botswana, Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa, Namibia, and Uganda. Ahmed has a doctorate in Health Economics and Public Health and Policy from the LSHTM. She has a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Emory University and a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
