The treatment of Prof Neil Ferguson, who has resigned for private mistakes while giving advice that has saved 1000s of lives, will make other scientists think again before offering government their service. Don’t @ me with your self righteousness.

Papers which rejoiced at happiness of serially philandering Prime Minister leaving his sick wife to get a much younger woman pregnant in moral meltdown at scientist’s affair (in desperate attempt to deflect attention from said PM’s many mistakes contributing to many deaths)

Neil isn't a politician. Nor in public office. He's a scientist offering his expertise and advice in good faith. Attacking his personal life is a haunting warning to all scientists; if you tell an unpopular truth we'll come for you; and you too will face a public flogging 😕

Transmission of Sars-CoV-2: light blue is from pre-symptomatic people; dark green from asymptomatic. Light green - environmental. Only 40% of transmission is from symptomatic people. Might be a good idea to encourage face coverings in crowded places.

Why won't gov't consider an extension in the light of ? Raab: "What this crisis ought to allow us to do, is knuckle down and focus on what really matters." IMAGINE telling the French or Spanish leader right now to "focus on what really matters", and mean fucking Brexit!

Please read this hugely important thread on how and to whom exactly Covid-19 is most commonly transmitted - will be very useful in deciding which measures can be most safely be relaxed as we ease out of lockdown.

19/ Finally, these studies indicate that most transmission is caused by close contact with a symptomatic case, highest risk within first 5d of symptoms. To note: this preprint suggests that most infections are not asymptomatic during infection

15/ In summary: While the infectious inoculum required for infection is unknown, these studies indicate that close & prolonged contact is required for transmission. The risk is highest in enclosed environments; household, long-term care facilities and public transport.

So a Republican Senator calls for WTO abolition as it infringes national sovereignty, and meanwhile many Brexiters insist 'let's go WTO' as the only way to restore ... national sovereignty. OK.

How dare tell a perfectly courteous MP - who also happens to be an A&E doctor - to "watch her tone" in the Commons? Perhaps he could watch his ? Not to mention his track record on PPE - the lack of which has endangered countless frontline staff?

Maybe the government it will wind down the furlough scheme. That will hugely damage less fortunate members of society. There is no silver lining to this. But if there were, it would be that it will help finish off this frightful Tory government.

Dr Rosena was absolutely right to ask this question.I’ve noticed the government’s strategy is to shout down any criticism of their handling of the crisis as if we are not wanting the country to succeed which is totally wrong. Our A&E Dr was spot on today. Thankyou for all you do❤️
