    it certainly is a step in the right direction. This starts to address some of the inequities in funding for training and should result in a better training experience for medical students in general practice.

    Following sustained lobbying from colleagues at & many others, it is refreshing to see the introduction of a minimum tariff 4 UG medical placements in general practice of £28,000. Whilst this doesn't meet the true cost of training,

    New positive tested daily COVID cases reported by PHE not reducing & weekend just passed had more new cases than previous two. ONS figures suggest 2500 actual new daily cases. Need greater public health measures to drive down infection rates to prevent 2nd spike/local outbreaks
