Jack Mackinnon works as a Research Analyst focused on consumer insights for Gartner for Marketing Leaders, concentrating on Gen Z and multicultural consumers, as well as intersections between those groups.
Mr. Mackinnon comes to the field from the unique vantage point of having worked with youth and multicultural families through various education platforms. Before joining Iconoculture, he helped to start several innovative educational organizations, and studied adolescent development with an emphasis on ethnicity and culture at Harvard University.
Mr. Mackinnon comes from an education background, having worked primarily to build academic support systems within schools, such as mentoring programs. His previous roles included overseeing the development of curriculum; determining metrics to measuring success; reporting quantitative and qualitative findings through grant reports; and (most importantly) being a professional listener to help the organization better understand the needs, behaviors, and perspectives of the community.
