Current Employment Opportunities in Napa County Schools

Many school employment opportunities are posted at each district office: Calistoga Joint Unified School District, Howell Mountain Elementary School District, Napa Valley Unified School District, Pope Valley Union Elementary School District, St. Helena Unified School District, and the Napa County Office of Education. They also post them on Ed-Join (external website, new window), which is a statewide education job opportunities information network.

Online Teacher Certification Program

California State University has developed a new alternative to obtaining a Multiple Subject/CLAD teaching credential, which doesn’t require attendance at regular university classes. The program called CalState TEACH, combines 18 months of self-study, online support, and personal coaching to integrate the theory and practice of teaching with daily classroom experiences. It is designed for candidates, who are currently teaching in a multiple subject classroom in which the core curriculum (language arts, social studies, math, and science) is taught to all students. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, CBEST, and two letters of recommendation. To find out more visit the CalState TEACH website (external website, new window).
