Badgley Mischka

Is there a reason why Badgley Mischka is alphabetized after Carlos Miele in this template? It should be after Max Azria. Blahb31 (talk) 12:21, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

Actually we need to talk about the criteria for inclusion here

How do we determine who should be on this template and who isn't? It seems that, taken to extremes, this template could include all names on List of fashion designers PLUS List of footwear designers and quite a few more entries besides, which would be ridiculous. I think we need some very clear and specific rules/criteria. Mabalu (talk) 22:25, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

The problem with this is that if we do not have REALLY clear criteria for inclusion, then this template could rapidly get out of control with anyone assuming they can just add any company/designer label to the template. No idea, I was primarily editing links. I added three because I saw them while working on adding the navbox on designers already on the list and thought they fit. If those three are inappropriate feel free to remove. 15zulu (talk) 12:00, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

I think this list should only actual proper names of fashion designers who started eponymous labels, and should not include brands like J Crew. (Heroeswithmetaphors) talk 19:15, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Duplicate links

We should only be linking to each article once per navbox. Each article is included twice here, which obviously causes redundancy. I've removed the links by country in favour of the alphabetical list, but I have no real preference if consensus prefers the groupings by country. criteria for inclusion

I just edited to reflect the idea that this template is not meant to list every clothing brand in existence but rather only brands that are the name of the actual designer. In time, this template could reflect only living designers. (Heroeswithmetaphors) talk 00:32, 15 February 2017 (UTC)

• NOTE: a) If we are removing labels whose founders are not longer living, then we should also remove - Prada, Emilio Pucci, Sonia Rykiel, Versace, Missoni, Mouawad, Lacoste, Guy Laroche, Levi's, Gucci, Fendi, Fiorucci, Etienne Aigner, Laura Biagiotti, S. T.
