Why doesn’t PHP have something like ::function the way it has ::class? It would be really useful if you could pass a function or a method without ‘ClassName@method’ (Laravel routes) or [$instance, ‘method’] / ‘function’ (WordPress hooks).

the matrix was a collage of philosophy and action/kung fu/etc. cinema styles which felt original in this "quentin tarantino does sci-fi" way. the matrix reloaded asks important question "what if ... he could stop a hundred bullets instead of eight?"

“Masks might not do very much good, but they’re better than nothing!” Yeah, if you can isolate that variable and hold physical distance constant. But humans are dumb, so you can’t.

Three weeks ago in the grocery store almost no one was wearing masks but everyone was making a serious effort to stay six feet apart. Now, almost everyone is wearing masks but almost no one is consistently staying six feet apart and many aren’t even covering their nose.

I’ve been working with Svelte 3 more and more, so I wrote about using reactive declarations to write less code: Reactive declarations are seriously cool — code statements that are guaranteed to stay valid when their inputs change. 🤩

Zoomers are SO BAD at managing internet accounts. Every time they have to sign up for something they make a new email address — some cringey meme shit that they get embarrassed about in three months so they go make another. And then they forget their passwords and lose access.
