    true for most founder roles, but i agree it's often not the case for the founder-CEO few job-jobs need the skillset of synthesizing across all functional areas of a business; and once those doors of strategic perception are opened, they are hard to close.

    You often hear people reflexively telling entrepreneurs (or telling themselves): “even if your startup fails you’ll be that much more hire-able after the experience” sorry to be a downer, but I think this is broadly not true. Agree/disagree?

    The mental transition from “if we push, we can put out all the fires I see” to “we cannot, and will never again be able to, do that – and I have to sleep every night while the fires burn and burn” is arguably the hardest thing in seed stage CEO life.
