    Almost 2 months ago I was laid off from my job. Today I start at Facebook. I want to thank so many people who helped me during this crazy time. I never tweeted asking for help but several peeps reached out just from my bio change. You all are amazing!

    Every homeschooling Facebook group that I’m in is filled with hundreds of parents asking how to get started homeschooling full-time in August. Everyone is reinventing the wheel, with very little infrastructure to help. It’s quite energizing to be building for these families.

    The cheap price of fuel is causing ocean carriers to go the long way around Africa instead of paying the Suez Canal fees. The Canal lost $10M in fees in April and May (mtd).

    Because we need an institution to babysit our kids and we don’t trust kids anymore with freedom. Ever since the milk box boy, we’ve assumed every kid is getting kidnapped or harmed. Given freedom, kids do some amazing things

    This raises an obvious question: Why can’t our high schools look more like college? What if kids could choose an every-other-day schedule? Or select a morning or afternoon schedule rather than attending all day long?
