Libby Smiley

Libby leads marketing and communications for Omidyar Network's impact investing initiative and the Tech and Society Solutions Lab. For both efforts, she is responsible for communicating the firm’s goals through strategic partnerships, media efforts, investments, and thought leadership.

 

Libby comes to Omidyar Network with a deep background in communications, public affairs, and politics. Prior to joining the firm, Libby was a senior vice president at FleishmanHillard, where she managed strategic communications and corporate social responsibility efforts on behalf of Fortune 500 clients. Previously, she worked at Barbary Coast Consulting, a Bay Area-based public affairs and advocacy firm, for which she developed government relations and community engagement strategies for numerous clients. She has also worked for community foundations, MacNeil/Lehrer Productions, and on the ground in Iowa during the 2008 presidential campaign.
