Made up of 30 countries representing over 750 million Africans, Smart Africa is a bold and innovative commitment from African Heads of State and Government to accelerate sustainable socioeconomic development on the continent, ushering Africa into a knowledge economy. 

The Smart Africa Alliance Strategic Vision focuses on five pillars — policymaking; access to broadband and usage of information and communications technologies, greater e-governance, support for the private sector and entrepreneurs, and sustainable development through a single digital economy.
