IDEO.org is a nonprofit design organization on a mission to improve the lives of people in vulnerable communities. Practicing human-centered design, IDEO uses a creative approach to problem-solving that starts with people and arrives at new solutions tailored to meet their lives while recognizing that complex problems are best solved collaboratively.

Through their Nairobi Design Studio, IDEO.org brings together networks to act on systemic challenges including African policymakers, designers, technologists, academics, independent media, union representatives, and an expanding range of civil society actors, such as human rights activists, legal aid groups, religious organizations, and refugee and migrant rights organizations.

IDEO.org builds on the belief that better information, better tools, and more human-centered products can transform lives and give people a chance to control their futures with a mix of technology, innovation, and empathy.
