Ideas to Action:

Independent research for global prosperity

Support the Center for Global Development

Your contribution makes it possible for the Center’s researchers to devise practical, evidence-based solutions for today’s most pressing development challenges.

Since 2001, CGD has worked to reduce global poverty and improve lives through innovative economic research that drives better policy and practice by the world's top decision makers. We are a fiercely independent research institution committed to transparency, diversity, and integrity.

We invite you to become a member of our community in one of the following ways:

Contribute stocks or mutual funds or via wire transfer

If you are interested in supporting the Center through a stock gift or wire transfer, please notify the Institutional Advancement Team at development@cgdev.org. We will provide further instructions for you and/or your financial advisor.

Secure a match for your contribution

Many businesses and foundations match the donations of their staff and Board members. This is a simple way to maximize the impact of your support to the Center. Inquire about matches with your company's Accounting department or your Board secretary. CGD is also part of the World Bank’s Community Connections Campaign and Benevity Causes, which will match giving from select workplaces.

Select CGD as a nonprofit recipient on giving sites

Online shopping sites like AmazonSmile offer simple and automatic ways for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at Amazon, they will donate .5 percent of the purchase price to CGD. Go to AmazonSmile and select CGD as your recipient charitable organization to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. Other sites with similar programs include iGive and GiveAsYouLive.

Include a bequest in your will or trust

By making a contribution to the Center through a will, trust, estate, or other future gift, you can support CGD’s work for years to come. You will also become a member of our esteemed Legacy Society. Additional information about how to give a legacy contribution can be found here. Please contact the Institutional Advancement Team at development@cgdev.org with any questions or for more information.
