The Open Philanthropy Project recommended a grant of $67,110 to Better Eating International to support a market research study to understand the attitudes and perceptions of non-vegans in different segments of the U.S. population toward vegan eating and animal agriculture, including the resonance of concepts like climate change, affordability, and health and nutrition, among others. A prime aim of this research is to help the farm animal welfare movement better understand and address the unique needs of various audiences, with particular focus on historically underserved communities.

This is a discretionary grant, and falls within our focus area of farm animal welfare.
