My JAFX Review

My experience with John Anthony actually started long before JAFX. A friend introduced me to John’s binary options signals back in 2014, and I had been using those to boost my profits for quite some time before he officially launched his Forex platform. At the time, I was generating a nice profit from binaries, but had little knowledge of FX trading, so I was a bit hesitant about getting started. The same friend who helped me get started with binaries pushed me to give Forex a try, and today, I’m earning much more from Forex than binary options.

Although I was no Forex expert when I first started in 2015, I knew enough to recognize some of the perks of trading within the JAFX platform. A few of the things that stood out were the low minimum deposit ($10), a large number of pair options to choose from, and excellent spreads. I knew from the start that I wanted to keep my financial risk to a minimum while learning more about trading, so the fact that I was able to trade with lot sizes as small as 0.01 was another clear advantage. I have since moved on to much larger trade sizes, but when just starting out, it was nice to have that option.

Like most, I started out with a demo account. At the time, the only option was to create a demo through MT4, but today, the company is also offering the option to make a new demo in WebTrader in just two easy steps. I still use my demo account from time to test various strategies, which is nice. For those who are just getting started, I would highly recommend creating a demo account in order to get a feel for MT4 and to view all of the available assets, spreads, etc. If you need instructions for creating a demo account, just reach out to the helpful support staff.

While I have learned to trade Forex with success, I do still take advantage of two of the company’s auto-trade (PAMM account) options. On their site, you will be able to view a chart that displays the available options, including the current gains, number of days the system has been active, drawdown, minimum deposit, performance fee, and management fee (if any). If you’re interested in having someone else do the trading for you, then you must check out these options. As of this writing, one of the systems has a gain of 43.84%. If you ask me, that’s a pretty nice profit for not having to do ANY of the work!

The ECN account is the correct selection for manual trading. This is a true ECN account that feature low latency and no re-quotes. The average spread is a low 0.6 and hedging, scalping, and news trading are allowed. There is no dealing desk and the commission is a reasonable $4 per lot, round turn. The maximum leverage offered is 1:500. There are a total of 47 pairs to choose from at this time, which presents an excellent variety for those who like to branch out and take advantage of as many opportunities as possible. New assets may be added in the future, but 47 pairs are certainly more than enough for now.

 

Getting started was easy. The same as all Forex brokers, if you choose to sign up, you will be asked to submit your KYC (Know Your Customer) identification and address verification documents. There is no requirement to submit those if you only want a demo account, but they will need to be uploaded and approved before you will be able to open a live trading account. The compliance team reviewed and approved my documents in less than 24-hours. Once that was taken care of, the next step was to fund my account. I initially chose bank wire transfer for my first deposit, because that method is secure and there are no fees. I did later add more funds via Bitcoin (again, no deposit fees on that method either).

I’ve withdrawn my profits several times, again using wire transfer and Bitcoin. My wire withdrawal arrived in two business days after it was approved. My Bitcoin withdrawals are instant (after the requests are reviewed, approved, and paid out). Skrill is an option for non-US clients. Credit and debit deposits and withdrawals are also available options, but those do have fees, so I personally opted to use the cheaper methods. I prefer to keep as much of my own money as possible. If you would like to discuss the available funding methods, contact the payments department. They are always willing to help and actually walked me step-by-step through the wire transfer process.

JAFX does offer asset manager and affiliate accounts. If you have a profitable system that you would like to offer, contact their support department and speak with one of the managers for more information. Although I have not yet reached asset manager level (I will one day though!), I do use the affiliate program to refer friends and family. The company provides me with the option to withdraw the money earned on referrals or transfer my earnings into my trading account. One thing to note if you do go to sign up for one of these accounts – use an email address that is different from that on your trading account (I had to contact support to find out why the system was not accepting my registration and that was the reason).
