Sure you can give your money to a church but your money is going to a lot of other places besides ending suffering of children around the world.

While I also am passionate about vegetarianism and vegan diets as well as educational programs to try and move culture into a more empathetic and compassionate treatment of non-human animals...

This is my favorite charitable cause for helping Humans who are suffering.

If you walk past a child who is drowning and no one is there but you to save her, are you obligated to save her?

Similarly over one thousand children are dying everyday unnecessarily from malaria alone. Are we not equally obligated to a similar degree to help. Even a little bit helps. ❤️

I love the work GiveWell is doing! GiveWell gives me hope for humanity and a sense of responsibilit...y and love toward individuals living in extreme poverty. It’s hard for people like us, who live in affluent countries, to donate to children who live half a world away because we don’t know them and can’t relate to them. However, imagine you saw a child who was dying of a curable disease, and the price of saving that child’s life was the same as an expensive cup of coffee. Wouldn’t you help? Then why should we donate overseas when we have our own poor, you may ask. Because extreme poverty overseas is so much worse than poverty in Western nations that it is not even comparable.
By giving to GiveWell, you can save children’s lives. Every life is precious and has a purpose. The love expressed through taking care of others is the beginning of a better, more compassionate world, and that’s the world everyone wants to live in. 💓🌍💓 Ещё
