Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna—who were killed in a helicopter crash last month—will be honored at a public memorial service in Los Angeles today.

“For me and many others,” Jemele Hill wrote after their death, Bryant "was the embodiment of what we thought we could be—fearless, driven, and excellent.”
