  1. Finally heard the startup chime on my 16” (via ) and I’m so glad I enabled it. It felt like coming home.

  2. Definitely. I’ll need wraps with one ingredient that doesn’t quite belong, mysterious side-salads that taste nothing like you expect from how they look, and cookie-like round-rect desserts that are somehow simultaneously too soft and too hard and have no taste whatsoever.

  3. I’d love to see advancement in this area. I still like conferences, but they feel increasingly extravagant and exclusive as costs rise (a typical WWDC trip with a badge, airfare, and lodging is around $5,000). Making their value more accessible to more people would be great.

  5. I actually don’t think he’s electable. He’d be yet another qualified but bland, uncharismatic, centrist Democrat who runs a weak campaign, gets walked all over in the media, and loses progressive votes to third parties. If Biden is the nominee, we’ll almost certainly lose.

True things today: 1. Only 4 states have voted. 2. 95% of primary voters have not voted. 3. No one has this locked up. (See above.) 4. No one is entitled to the nomination. (See above.) 5. We decide electability with our votes. 6. Vote for who you want to be president.

  9. I bet WWDC is already canceled, and Apple’s just waiting to announce it until they have alternative plans arranged to announce with it. Live-streamed media-only keynote from SJ Theater, session videos all dropping on day 1, maybe even some kind of online labs?

I’d give up the 5% discount to have go back to the way it was before Amazon bought it. Everything else is worse now (and getting even worse). Fewer cashiers, long lines, less-consistent and messier stock, and crowded aisles full of Prime-delivery shopping agents.

I put ATP on over the speakers in a tour van once. Pretty sure this is exactly what it sounded like to the rest of the band.
