GiveWell (a.k.a. The Clear Fund) is a federally-recognized tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. - GiveWell itself does not charge any fees when taking donations for the support of our recommended charities, but PayPal charges standard credit card processing fees.
- Both GiveWell and the charity (or charities) you support will receive confirmation of your gift as well as your contact information and email address. The charities will use your contact information to contact you once to thank you for your gift. GiveWell shares information with its recommended charities periodically and they may not be able to acknowledge your gift for some time. Your information will not be shared with any third parties.
