Autopatrolled

I have created nearly 25 articles (excluding redirects and disambiguation pages), of which a couple (and some redirects) have been deleted. I have been active since over a decade ago here on the EnWiki. Thank you indeed. — Hamid Hassani (talk) 07:28, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
Not done Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, with less than 25 articles created you do not meet the minimum suggested requirements for this permission. Additionally, having had several articles deleted in the past year is reason enough to not qualify for autopatrol. signed, Rosguill talk 22:41, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
Ok. Thank you for your attention. — Hamid Hassani (talk) 11:05, 4 February 2020 (UTC)

Since my Autopatrolled rights were revoked, I've created lots of new articles with no issue whatsoever. Most of my new articles are focused on Nigerian region, where only few active editors work on. I'm looking forward to creating more and more well researched and high quality new articles as time passes by and for sure getting this right again will reduce the huge workload on New pages patrollers. Thanks. NNADIGOODLUCK (Talk|Contribs) 05:12, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Automated comment This user has had 1 request for autopatrolled declined in the past 90 days ([1]) and has had this permission revoked in the past 180 days ([2]). MusikBot talk 05:20, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Based on the revoke above and this interaction which precipitated it, it seems that there's reason to believe that you've done some issues with paid editing disclosures. Discussions on your talk page like this one are also suspicious. Pinging Yunshui, usernamekiran. signed, Rosguill talk 05:56, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
About a new user User:Wilsonharry454 seeking to contact me, I don't even know their motive, and I only answered them accordingly and advised them to sign their messages next time. Alternatively, the post I made on Twitter when I was still very new to Wikipedia was misquoted and tagged paid editing. I only made the Twitter post because I was so amazed when I was able to edit Wikipedia, I never knew that someone could edit Wikipedia before then, so I went on my Twitter account and shared about my editing experience, the post was never made to advertise paid editing, it was just an innocent post of a new Wikipedia editor showing off and celebrating the opportunity he had to edit Wikipedia for the first time, when I was told I shouldn't make such posts, I took it down and that was all. Saying that it's advertisement of paid editing is not right and it shouldn't spoil all the good contributions I've been doing on Wikipedia for the past many months since I joined. This is the innocent post from Twitter, shared on 23 August 2019. "WIKIPEDIA PAGE CREATED SUCCESSFULLY BY COMRADE NNADI GOODLUCK. Nigerian incoming Goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye Wikipedia Page officially created by Comrade Nnadi Goodluck on Friday, 23rd August 2019. For the past one week, I've been on this work, researching, analyzing, collecting and verifying data and materials. It hasn't been an easy ride at all. God willing, when I'd concluded the work, I submitted the request for approval and it was reviewed and approved subsequently. You can access the page to read my work by searching Maduka Okoye on Google or by going straight to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maduka_Okoye. I'm looking forward to creating more and more Wikipedia Pages in time to come. -Dankeschön- © Comrade Nnadi Goodluck". NNADIGOODLUCK (Talk|Contribs) 06:32, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Rosguill, checkout another innocent post that I shared on my Twitter account on October 2019 from this ARCHIVE LINK. I was never advertising any paid editing. I didn't know that sharing Wikipedia experiences on social media is wrong. NNADIGOODLUCK (Talk|Contribs) 06:39, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation, that seems pretty innocent to me. I'm going to wait for the editors who initially acted on this issue to chime in before acting, but on a quality level your contributions look good enough that I'm ok with granting autopatrol on that basis (although I'm a bit skeptical that individual awards from an awards show are really notable). signed, Rosguill talk 06:46, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Thanks a lot Rosguill. I'm so glad that you took your time to go through my detailed explanation. Thanks once again. NNADIGOODLUCK (Talk|Contribs) 07:01, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
I was not directly involved in the previous matter, but the repeated recreation of special:log/page=Emmanuel Michael, and of special:log/page=Emmanuel Nnamdi Michael overlapping with a difference of few days is concerning. Thats from September 2019. I had not seen the twit, so I will defer it to Yunshui. Even though nothing to do with auto-patrolled (we give this flag even to the users with civility issues as long as their creations are good), Nnadigoodluck had to make a trip to ANI in early January due to their improper relistings of AfD. Their improper, and selective clearing of the talkpage also makes me a little uncomfortable; especially when someone is trying to help/having a conversation with them special:diff/935118135. If these were isolated, or one-off incidents, it wouldnt have mattered. But all together, and repetition is concerning regarding approval of auto-patrolled. —usernamekiran (talk) 14:08, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Usernamekiran, As you are aware, I registered this account and edited for the first time in August 2019, as a newbie then, you wouldn't expect me to know the Wikipedia policies and guidelines accurately, hence the creation and repeated recreation of Emmanuel Michael and Emmanuel Nnamdi Michael article. And also, lots of great Wikipedia editors today, including some Administrators started off as bad faith editors, before becoming good faith editors. With all these, I don't really think that the ANI incident that is already archived without any action plus the talk page incidents that you resurrected are even related to my request for autopatrolled as regards to the creation of more quality articles. NNADIGOODLUCK (Talk|Contribs) 14:27, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
@Nnadigoodluck: yes, I agree with you. Still, I am a little uncomfortable. But I do not have any problem with you having auto-patrolled flag. I am not an admin either way, so I will let this up-to the admin. I do not want to discourage you, article creation is really commendable, and I want you to continue your work on wikipedia. But what I am trying to say is, being auto-patrolled is not a big deal, and NPP folks can handle a little backlog. Since last few momths, we've managed to keep the backlog under 7,000. I am also not saying you are accepting payments for editing. But currently, you are under a cloud, and persistently asking for the auto-patrolled doesnt look good for you. I suggest to keep on working the way you are working now for 3 to 6 months, and then there might be a good time to ask for the flag. I think I have presented my opinion, and might not respond here again. Regards, —usernamekiran (talk) 17:40, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Usernamekiran, It's okay that you don't have any problem with me having autopatrolled rights regarding the quality of my content creation. All the very best. NNADIGOODLUCK (Talk|Contribs) 17:50, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Not done I'm really sorry Nnadigoodluck, but between the issues raised here and additional information that I received off of Wikipedia, I don't think it makes sense to confer autopatrol at this time. Usernamekiran is right that autopatrol doesn't actually save us that much work at the NPP queue; at most, it saves us an hour or two of work per year. Even if we assumed a very low probability that you will abuse the permissions, it doesn't pay off. Please don't take this personally, and take heart that your actual contributions to Wikipedia are very much recognized and appreciated. signed, Rosguill talk 18:42, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
Rosguill, I'm glad you were sincere with your overall assessment of my Wikipedia contributions. Thanks much. NNADIGOODLUCK (Talk|Contribs) 18:49, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
