UCT moved 20 places to 136th position in the latest 2020 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The sixth edition of the US News Best Global Universities rankings saw UCT being ranked 121st globally for 2020.

Advanced Focus Assessed Transthoracic Echocardiography (FATE) is aimed at providing advanced echocardiographic skills (comprehensive imaging and Doppler echocardiography) for the non-cardiologist in order to perform point-of-care cardiopulmonary evaluation and subsequently, optimisation of emergent cardiac and respiratory conditions.

UCT Under Apartheid: From Onset to Sit-In 1948 -1968

Alumni and friends of of the University of Cape Town (UCT) are invited to a campus book launch of ‘UCT Under Apartheid: From Onset to Sit-In 1948 -1968’, written by retired UCT academic and author, Emeritus Professor Howard Phillips. The event forms part of the university's Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series.

The book is published by Jacana Media and will be available for purchase at the event for R300.
