Over 400 people missing across Greater Manchester There are over 400 people missing across Greater Manchester, and we know this time of year can be particularly difficult. We want to remind people of the support which is out there, whether you are thinking of leaving home, are already away from home or if someone you know is missing. Below, we feature 15 missing people as a reminder to encourage anyone who may have any information to come forwards. Can you help police find a missing woman from Rochdale?

Lyneker Flynn, 20, was last seen on Westminster Street, Rochdale on Saturday 1 or Sunday 2 February 2020.

Lyneker is described as being white, 5ft 4in tall with ginger hair and green eyes. She has a Manchester bee tattoo on her left wrist.

Lyneker is pregnant and requires urgent medical attention.

She is known to frequent in Manchester City Centre.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Lyneker and her unborn child and would like to encourage her to attend the nearest hospital to make sure they are safe and well.

Anyone with information about Lyneker’s whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101.

Police are appealing for information after a woman died following a collision in Newton Heath.

At 5.50pm on Friday 7 February 2020, police were called to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Thorp Road.

Officers attended and established that a Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian was travelling towards Oldham Road when it collided with a woman.

The 64-year-old sustained multiple serious injuries and, despite the best efforts of paramedics, she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin has been informed. They are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

No arrests have been made.

An investigation is underway.

PC John Harrison-Gough of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a tragic incident in which a woman has lost her life. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at what is undoubtedly a devastating time for them.

“Our investigation is ongoing and I would like to take this opportunity to ask anyone with information or dash cam footage from the area at the time, which may assist officers with their enquiries, to contact us as soon as possible.”
