Alan Wolf Arkin, nado en Nova York o 26 de marzo de 1934 é un actor e director estadounidense.
Traxectoria[editar | editar a fonte]
Fillo dun pintor e unha profesora, marchou coa súa familia aos Ánxeles cando tiña once anos, para que o seu pai puidese traballar como deseñador de escenarios. Durante os anos cincuenta os seus pais foron acusados de ser comunistas e, ao negarse a responder preguntas sobre a súa ideoloxía, o seu pai foi despedido.
Arkin estudou interpretación desde os dez anos e entre 1958 e 1968 gravou discos cun grupo infantil de folk. Debutou no cinema en 1966 con The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming, pola que foi candidato ao Oscar ao mellor actor. Porén, non lograría o premio, como actor secundario, ata corenta anos despois por Little Miss Sunshine.
