A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics. Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it.

I wonder if a 16 year old “chooses” to be a public figure, and whether her being one changes things? I think a kid is a kid and deserves as much protection as we can give her. Kind of like child stars.

Activists have stupid people criticizing them all the time, often for stupid reasons. That’s part of the job. Greta sought and has that job. She’s not equivalent to a presidential child. (The criticism of Karlan’s reference to Barron was ridiculous because it wasn’t an attack.)

The President's bullying of Greta Thunberg is a continuation of the hateful ableist behavior we've seen from him before. Thunberg is a child who is on the autism spectrum and it is wildly inappropriate for him to attack her.

The President of the United States should be setting a positive example and making children on the spectrum feel heard and empowered. Instead he's childishly taunting her because he lacks basic human decency and is apparently jealous of her success.
