President Kagame: Thank you again, I wish you success, and I commit my support to all of you in this journey we are on together. We are the ones to benefit from everything that we do.

President Kagame: We want to maintain that situation where we can take our security and peace for granted, we need it, we have needed it for a long time and we shall make sure it is there.

President Kagame: When it is here, we are responsible, we are in charge, when it is outside, the noises being made by neighboring countries and beyond, that one there is not much I can do about it. The best way is to ignore it.

President Kagame: Those ones who make noises about it, we will see what they will do. Am telling those who play games with this nonsense and want to put us back where we have been, and have left behind us.

President Kagame:People who have been involved with the tragedy of Genocide and have continued to play that politics&ideology,they have gone to prison,they have come out and we have forgiven them for it. Then they start playing those games again, we will put you where you belong

President Kagame: You cannot be here benefiting from the peace and security that we have created, that we have paid for in blood over many years and then you do things behind our backs and cause us problems. We will put you where you belong, there is no question about it.

President Kagame: It is our responsibility to ensure that there is democracy, there is peace, there is freedom, there is everything in our country. Primarily we are the ones responsible first and foremost, we, me and you.

President Kagame: I want to warn some people among us who hide behind different things. They hide behind politics, democracy, freedom, that we actually want.

President Kagame: It is also the cost, mainly that those people who want to destabilize our country are going to incur, it is going to be a very high cost on their part. Absolutely. I mean it and you know that I mean it.

President Kagame: We are going to raise the cost on the part of anybody who wants to destabilize our security. The cost is going to be very high, whether it is the means we are going to put to make sure we have everything it takes to ensure security, stability of our country

President Kagame:Every country needs to have security. Where we are today,we have taken security more or less for granted.That was right that we could make sure the country is secure to the point that we can take it for granted.We will continue to take it for granted by any means

President Kagame: It is clear that we are getting closer and closer to where we want to be, but we end up being held back by shortcomings, which would not exist if people did what they were supposed to do. We are not falling short because we are not capable of achieving.

President Kagame: The challenges we encounter in governance, education and other fields are all a result of mismanagement, of not following up and when this is mixed with other weaknesses, it prevents us from reaching our goals.

President Kagame: For us to reach the goals we have set for ourselves, leaders have to work better, be accountable and put the interests of our citizens first. Our interest as leaders have to come last.

President Kagame: You are taking on these responsibilities at a time our country is entering a new stage of transformation. Your strengths, your abilities and your way of thinking will be part of this new journey.

President Kagame: Rwandans expect all of us, including those who have sworn in today, to fulfill all of our responsibilities. I have no doubt that you will fulfill them.
