    Lessons re the Away CEO and growth at all costs.

    But her actions reveal the shame of Silicon Valley. “Growth at all costs” causes leaders to make harmful and morally corrupt decisions. And it’s often connected to the desire to get rich/make investors their money. You guys, we can build good businesses without being assholes.

    Entrepreneurial capital is broken. Entrepreneurship educators have failed by overemphasizing VC to companies where it doesn't fit. Investors have failed by not offering a wider menu of capital products beyond VC and banking. It's a two-sided market failure.

    Reflections from Day 1 of the scout program: I now believe that educating entrepreneurs on alternatives to is a critical need. You'd think "post-revenue" was self-explanatory. Having raised a prior round is NOT the same has having actual customers.
