In this session of Designers + Geeks, we'll be doing a Creator Spotlight on Dylan Field, Co-founder and CEO and Figma. Dylan will be sharing some of the background, learnings, and features of Figma in his talk - we'll be learning how something like Figma comes into being. ----- DYLAN FIELD | CEO & Co-founder of Figma Dylan Field is the co-founder and CEO of Figma, the collaborative interface design tool. Before starting Figma, Dylan studied computer science and mathematics at Brown University where he and his co-founder first saw the possibilities of building a web-first tool to take down the walls around the siloed design process. Dylan was an intern at O'Reilly Media, LinkedIn, and Flipboard. He champions open, accessible design and believes design technology must evolve for a cloud-based, collaborative world. He tweets @zoink. ------------------------------------------ Connect We post discounts & freebies here: • Our Newsletter http://eepurl.com/eNMs-/ • Designers + Geeks Facebook https://www.facebook.com/designersandgeeks • @DesignersGeeks https://twitter.com/DesignersGeeks

RSVP'ing on Meetup alone will not get you in. ------------------------------------------ Climate Action! Climate change is top-of-mind for most of us, but it often feels like too little is being done. It's also hard to know what to do, even when you want to help. In this session of Designers + Geeks, we'll be looking at entrepreneurs and designers that are taking action. We'll look at analyses, designs, and solutions from a spectrum of companies working to combat climate change. We're pleased to partner with SF Democracy Week for this event. Have a look at their calendar for some other great events around the city. ----- SANCHALI PAL | Co-Founder and CEO at Joro Sanchali Pal is Co-Founder & CEO at Joro.
