Twitter Promote Mode help

Short on time? Twitter Promote Mode automates your brand marketing efforts for less than the price of a cup of coffee per day, enabling you to focus on creating your best Tweets.

It's an affordable, automated, and always-on promotion engine — so whether you're building your personal brand or a business, Twitter Promote Mode grows your influence by automatically amplifying your message to a larger interested audience. For a set monthly fee, your Tweets and account will automatically be promoted. Reach up to 30,000 additional people and add new followers every month.

How does it work?

Promote Mode works best for people who Tweet about their brand or product and want an always-on advertising solution.

Each day, your first 10 Tweets that pass our quality filter will be added to a Promoted Tweets campaign that targets your selected audience. Tweets that are promoted become Twitter Ads and appear with a small "Promoted" icon. Your Retweets, Quote Tweets, and replies will not be promoted.

Typically, your first few Tweets of the day receive the most promotion. Simply promote your brand as you normally do — Tweeting updates, links, and media that you want your target audience to see. Promote Mode does the rest.

Promote Mode will also run a Promoted Account campaign, which will increase your reach, attract visitors to your profile, and add followers interested in your brand. On average, accounts will reach 30,000 additional people and add new followers every month. Your performance may vary based on factors such as your account type, your targeting selection, and the type and frequency of your Tweets.

Twitter Promote Mode FAQs

  • What stats and metrics will I be able to view?
    Arrow down icon

There are a number of metrics you can view from your Promote Mode dashboard.

    Promotion period

The date range is your current promotion period, and the blue bar represents how many days have passed in the current period. After 30 days, you can tap the back arrow to see the previous period’s activity.

    People reached

This shows the number of people who have seen your Tweets and account during the current period. The bar graph displays your organic reach in light blue and your promoted reach in yellow. The lower bar graph displays the number of Tweets that were promoted in a given day. Note that reach is not the same as impressions.

    Followers gained

This is the number of followers gained in Promote Mode. The bar graph displays the number of followers attracted on a specific day. The “total follower count” represents your current follower count, including organic followers.

    Profile visits

This is the daily number of people who have visited your profile. This includes both visits from promoted activity as well as visits from your existing followers.

    Individual Tweet performance

To view organic and promoted engagement metrics for a specific Tweet, tap “Profile” from your menu, then tap the bar graph icon or “View Tweet Activity” below the selected Tweet.

  • How is this different from Twitter Ads?
    Arrow down icon

Instead of managing individual Twitter Ads campaigns yourself, Promote Mode automates promotion of your Tweets and your account for a monthly fee.

If you would like to call more attention to specific Tweets or want to power up your efforts, you can start an objective-based campaign at any time. This will not affect your Promote Mode subscription.

  • Can I choose which Tweets to promote?
    Arrow down icon

While you cannot choose which Tweets to promote, you can pause promotion by toggling the “Promotion status” slider in the “Subscription” menu when you tap the gear icon.

When toggled off, the promotion of published Tweets will pause and new Tweets will not be promoted until you resume promotion by toggling back on.

Pausing your promotion does not pause or affect your subscription or billing.

Note: your Retweets, replies, and Quote Tweets will not be promoted at any time.

  • How do I pause or cancel Twitter Promoted Mode?
    Arrow down icon

    Pause Promote Mode

You can pause promotion by toggling the “Promotion status” slider in the “Subscription” menu when you tap the gear icon. When toggled off, the promotion of published Tweets will pause and new Tweets will not be promoted until you resume promotion by toggling back on. Pausing promotion does not pause your subscription and you will continue to be billed each month.

    Cancel Promote Mode

You may cancel anytime by selecting “Subscription” in your Promote Mode settings menu, accessed by tapping the gear icon. Upon canceling, your subscription will continue for the remainder of the current billing cycle. Your Tweets and account will still be promoted, unless you pause the promotion using the “Promotion status” slider. Promotion will end and your account will be canceled at the end of the billing cycle. We do not offer pro-rated refunds.
