    I'd like to deprecate using query parameters on unpkg in favor of using pathname prefixes instead. If you're using ?meta or ?module, please weigh in! 😅 /cc

    We are experiencing intermittent "Bad Gateway" errors on our new backend. The service is still generally up, but you may experience some interruption for files that are not in Cloudflare's cache. We are investigating.

    📣 Big changes this week: Our backend is now entirely hosted on , via hosting! 🔥 All npm proxy requests are now handled by Google Cloud Functions, which provide an auto-scaling, fault-tolerant backend.

    Got a "serverless" version of running on Firebase hosting today. It uses Google cloud functions to power the npm proxy requests. Kinda neat 😎

    All systems have returned to normal. We will continue monitoring the service over the coming week and working on more permanent fixes to address the traffic spikes we have been experiencing lately.

    If you have looked at with the side eye in the past and wondered how it affects your users' privacy, please read this thread. The way I see it, using unpkg is just like using any 3rd party host. Am I wrong?

    AFAICT there are 2 reasons you think users' safety is at risk here: 1. Attackers could publish malware 2. I might do something bad with users' data The 1st is npm's problem, we are just a proxy. The 2nd is much more nuanced, but it applies to any hosting service, not just unpkg

    and are also doing great work here. unpkg supports serving modules from the CDN directly to the browser, rewriting bare module specifiers to URLs on the fly with the ?module flag. This would be difficult to impossible to do with ES5.
