Boat hire and boat charter offer boating on your terms, whenever and wherever you want it.
If you don't own your own boat there are plenty of other ways you can get out and about on the water. From hiring a boat with friends for an afternoon to taking a two week holiday with your family, there’s something out there to suit every occasion and budget.
As you may imagine, there's a wide choice of companies, locations and types of boats to hire. The type of boats available will depend on where you go, but they range from motor boats, electric boats and canal boats to windsurfers, sailing dinghies, keelboats and yachts.
Companies or authorities may require proof of competence to hire, others are happy if you have experience, it really depends on where and what you hire. However, the company you go with will know the local requirements and let you know what is needed. If you don't have experience, or don't want the responsibility of being in charge, many can provide a full or part-time skipper.
When venturing outside the UK, you may be required to provide some proof of competency such as the International Certificate of Competence (ICC).
