I visited this location a few times growing up when my family would visit the aquarium or when my school would take field trips there and yesterday I took my son after we visited the aquarium. My son is 3 and loves music so when he made his first trip to Hard Rock Orlando a few weeks ago and loved it I knew we had to have lunch at the Baltimore location. Upon walking in I had already had some of the best service of any restaurant I have been to. Jordan, at the host stand, went above and beyond. Not only was she welcoming and friendly, when my son told her he wanted to work there too she let him wear her lanyard while she got our menus and marked off the table she was taking us to. On the way to our table she told us where the bathrooms were. As a mom of a toddler this means a great deal as I knew we would have to go there at least once. She showed us to our table and within a few seconds our server Josh was at the table. He was also welcoming and friendly. It was like we were long-time friends. He offered to substitute the spicy chicken tenders in our appetizer for regular ones so my son could eat them and the food was amazing. Then Josh came out with a vip pass from when Imagine Dragons played a few years ago for my son. The fact that he even thought about doing something like that just blew my mind. Most restaurants barely pay attention to small children much less do they actually try to make their visit great too. As we were leaving I honestly didn't expect our visit to get any better but Jordan gave my son one of her hard rock pins from her lanyard. My son smiled from ear to ear. This just put our visit over the edge. We will never eat lunch anywhere else when we are in town. Thank you guys so much for not only showing us a good time but showing my son a good time as well. It made such a huge impact on our entire visit to Baltimore.

One of the best things we did this year was to buy memberships at the Tiki Barge. It is an awesome place to spend time with the kids, boaters and other nice members. The service is always great and yes, once in a while the bar does get backed up but that is because they are busy….I often wonder the patience level of the people that just can't enjoy a great view and good company while waiting for their drink for a few minutes. This is the case at all busy bars, so don't complain. Speaking of drinks, it is one of the ONLY bars in Baltimore that serve fresh squeezed grapefruit, orange, lime or lemon with premium liquor. The food is really good for a bar. Our favorite are the fish tacos…some of the best in the city. The upstairs bar is always a great spot to stop by and chill even if you are not a member. The upper bar always has a cool breeze and great music is always playing. There are a couple of flat screen TV's for game days. It is a very good thing that the pool is members only as this place used to get out of hand with people that did not respect it…it is much more civilized now and anyone complaining about not being able to come in should check into memberships…things this great do need to have a price. There is towel service and plenty of floats. The occasional party that closes the barge is OK too. Wouldn't you want to be invited to a party on the water with a private pool and one of the best views going? This has not happened often. All and all this is one of the best hidden gems in the city.

great property.. housekeeping did a good job.. great amenities.. our issues: - room occupancy Thu - we originally booked into a smaller suite that the Marriott website mentioned could fit 2 rollaway beds. however the night prior to our departure, we had gotten notice from the front desk that this room cannot fit the 2 rollaway beds. this caused us some panic. luckily, the junior suite was still available, and we were upgraded for an additional $50. we appreciate the gesture, but we feel that the website (perhaps corporate website) needs to more accurately reflect occupancy limits. - pool (slippery floors) Thu and Sat - nice pool, however surrounding floors are very slippery when wet. i slipped and almost completely lost my balance once. my son and youngest daughter fell once each. i witnessed numerous people fall in the 2 instances we were at the pool. perhaps a more adequate flooring or mat needs to be installed. - pool (feces in the pool) Sat - a huge inconvenience since we had previously just arrived 20 minutes prior to being kicked out of the pool. The kids were not happy. - breakfast card Sat - as a breakfast option, we filled out breakfast delivery cards on Friday am. we chose the 8-815am because we had to be somplace at 9am. at 820, i called the breakfast bites line which sounded like the front desk. i asked about the ETA of our order, and from talking with the person on the phone it sounded like breakfast had never been completed, nor had been placed in the system. This was very inconvenient and resulted in not having adequate time to eat a proper meal which then had me lightheaded during the activity at 9am.
