Funds raised on Facebook are paid out to valid checking accounts. If you created a fundraiser, please set up payouts to your bank account to receive the money you raised on Facebook.
Keep in mind that only bank accounts in eligible countries can be used to receive payouts from fundraisers.

If you haven't received money raised from your fundraiser starting 6 days after the first donation was made, you can let us know.
For trouble setting up a checking account or submitting identification information, please let us know.
Authorized bank accounts
You can add a valid checking account to your payment settings after you've started your fundraiser. If you've created more than one fundraiser, you can see which bank account you previously authorized to receive payouts.
To see which bank account you authorized:
- Visit your payment settings.
- Click Payments in the left menu.
- Click Account Settings.
Although Stripe, the payment processor for your donations, issues payments 5 days after a donation is received, it may take your bank a few additional business days to deposit payments into your account.
Funds that you receive through a personal fundraiser on Facebook may be taxable. Factors that determine if the funds are taxable include the amount received, the intended use of the funds and the location where you reside. Please consult a tax professional for questions.
Note: If you raise more than $20,000 in donations from fundraisers on Facebook in a year, you'll receive a 1099 form. The 1099 form comes from Stripe, the company that processes payments for personal fundraisers on Facebook.
To report a personal fundraiser for fraud, fill out this form.
These are some reasons to report a fundraiser for fraud:
- The funds are being raised for something different than what's in the fundraiser's description.
- The fundraiser is impersonating another cause.
- The cause isn't real.
- There is wrong information in the fundraiser.
- You're the beneficiary of the fundraiser and you have an issue with it.
Fundraisers for personal causes may be removed from Facebook for any of the following reasons:
- The person who created the fundraiser deleted it.
- The beneficiary of the fundraiser requested that the fundraiser be removed.
- The fundraiser isn't for a type of cause that's allowed on Facebook.
- The fundraiser doesn't follow Facebook's Community Standards.
- The fundraiser goes against our Personal Fundraiser Terms of Service.
- A valid bank account wasn't added within 90 days of the fundraiser receiving its first donation. Fundraisers that don't have a valid bank account to send the money to or are otherwise blocked from receiving money are automatically deleted after 90 days.
- The creator of the fundraiser didn't respond to notifications from Facebook to confirm information needed to pay out the funds.
Note that all donations are automatically refunded to donors when a personal cause fundraiser is deleted or removed prior to payout. If you have questions or concerns about a fundraiser on Facebook, please fill out this form to let us know.
Facebook will take down a fundraiser if we receive a request from the beneficiary of that fundraiser to take it down.

Donations made on Facebook may be tax deductible. Review the information below to learn more whether a donation is tax-deductible.
Donations to Nonprofits
A donation to a nonprofit through its Facebook Page or a fundraiser on Facebook may be tax-deductible. Since tax laws vary by country and region, you should consult a tax professional or review the laws for your area to determine whether a donation is tax-deductible.
After you make a donation, a confirmation will be sent to the primary email listed on your Facebook account. This confirmation shows that you've made this donation as a charitable contribution and that you're not receiving any goods or services in return.

Donations to Fundraisers for Personal Causes
Donations made to personal fundraisers aren't normally tax deductible. If you have specific questions about the eligibility of a donation, please consult a tax professional.
Note: Donations and fundraiser features on Facebook aren't available in every area.
A donation on Facebook may be eligible for Gift Aid if the person making the donation is a taxpayer in the United Kingdom and the donation is being made to a UK-based nonprofit. During the donation process, a donor is able to indicate that the donation is eligible for Gift Aid.
What is Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a tax relief program overseen by the UK government that increases the amount of a qualifying donation by 25%. For example, if a person donates £100 to a nonprofit, Gift Aid adds £25 to that donation. The nonprofit receives a total donation amount of £125.
What donations qualify for Gift Aid
Not every donation made by a UK taxpayer to a UK-based charity qualifies for Gift Aid. Learn more about Gift Aid and whether your donation qualifies for the program.
If during the applicable tax year, the amount of income and/or capital gains tax paid is less than the Gift Aid amount claimed, the taxpayer is responsible to pay the difference.
Accessing Gift Aid information for your charity
UK-based charities can access Gift Aid transaction information in their transaction report. The report's Gift Aid UK only column will contain a 'Yes' if Gift Aid applies to the donation or 'No' if it doesn't apply.
Note: Facebook only provides information about whether Gift Aid may apply to a donation. Facebook doesn't process Gift Aid claims.
Donations not using Facebook Payments to benefit UK charities are made to PayPal Giving Fund UK. PayPal Giving Fund UK claims the Gift Aid on these donations and grants it in full to benefitting charities. Learn more about PayPal Giving Fund UK.
After you make a donation, you'll receive an email confirmation to the primary email listed on your Facebook account.
The email receipt shows that you've made this donation as a charitable contribution and that you're not receiving any goods or services in return. As tax laws vary by state and by country, please consult a tax professional regarding the deductibility of your donation.
Note: The ability to make a donation on Facebook isn't available in every location. See who can make donations on Facebook.
If you need help with a recent donation you made, have questions about a fundraiser, or want more information on the status of contributions to your nonprofit, fill out this form to let us know.
