    Graham getting SecDef would be a huge strategic change...for the worst. It would create space for the US to attack NK w/out Trump's involvement, thereby ending the Korean War in a way nobody wanted

    I heard rumblings that USFK never agreed to--and only peripherally even heard about--the North-South agreement prior to its announcement. This seems to confirm that

    General Robert Abrams: "SK & NK may continue dialogue but the UN Command has to be consulted to decide on the matter as it has the ultimate jurisdiction within DMZ." Abrams points to lack of coordination between SK-US in negotiating the military agreement

    Trump’s comments on North Korea at this press conference are patently false. He has abjured himself from almost causing nuclear war last year, and has shifted that blame to Obama. I have a whole book’s worth of evidence to prove he’s a liar

    This is a good start. Where most left statements on foreign policy go sideways is emphasizing their/our moral superiority about needing to restrain the use of force without putting forward a theory that relates US foreign policy actions to expected outcomes in the world.

    Even the most doe-eyed cheerleader for Trump in Korea cannot claim what Trump does here: that he has diminished the NK nuclear threat. Wrong. Patently untrue. Significantly worse now than in 2016. Don’t confuse valence of relations w nuclear stability
