Stacey Abrams and Joe Biden met privately to discuss 2020 plans
.@JoeBiden's office confirms he met with @staceyabrams today, as he mulls 2020 decision
A source close to Abrams tells @JeffreyCook Biden and Abrams sat down in Washington Thursday and discussed 'future plans.'
It seems Biden and Beto are both in. The one undeclared candidate left who would have the potential to truly shake up the race if she entered would be Stacey Abrams.
With Beto O'Rourke running the only candidates left are Joe Biden and maybe just maybe Stacey Abrams.
Biden is expected to announce a run soon and Abrams still undecided. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/2020-pow-wow-joe-biden-and-stacey-abrams-meet-in-washington …
Joe Biden and Stacey Abrams represent starkly different identities for a Democratic Party in flux, with one an aging white man who is the consummate Washington politician and the other an up-and-coming black woman from Generation X. https://www.delawareonline.com/story/news/politics/joe-biden/2019/03/14/2020-presidential-election-joe-biden-stacey-abrams-meet/3163907002/ …
Stacey Abrams, fresh off her meeting with Joe Biden earlier today in DC, said someone outside asked if she’s ever going to concede the Georgia gubernatorial election. “I said, ‘no.’”pic.twitter.com/D0teC7VgEA
On a presidential run, Abrams says she feels she has to consider it b/c people like her aren’t frequently mentioned, & tshe has much to offer. Then, discussing her credentials, she added a possible Beto reference: “I did win my election, I just didn’t get to have the job.”
Her meeting with Joe Biden is the latest in a string of meetings Stacey Abrams has had with White House contenders. https://www.ajc.com/blog/politics/abrams-meets-with-biden-discuss-her-next-run/TlnvUk6B4IRjjUVgycNjCJ/ …

Didn’t realize that @staceyabrams received more votes than any Democrat in Georgia history, but I can see how. #boldvold
The too-crazy-for-West-Wing theory would be Biden announcing a run and at the same time naming Abrams as his running mate to try to capture all the primary lanes at once.https://twitter.com/tpm/status/1106314343937949700 …
This will never happen, but if Biden just launched his campaign with Abrams there as his VP pick from the start, they'd sweep every primary.https://twitter.com/11AliveNews/status/1106314414561607680 …
One day someone (Dem/Rep) is going to have the courage to do this and if they pick the right running mate it will have a huge impact. Cruz/Fiorina don't count One issue: no one who is a viable candidate for Pres wants to lock themselves in as VP until they have no other choicehttps://twitter.com/Yair_Rosenberg/status/1106315835461812225 …
Haha why doesn’t Cruz/Fiorina count?
Because they did it as a last-ditch effort towards the end of the primary. The point is someone should come out the gate with a running mate.
After being named Ted Cruz's VP pick, Carly Fiorina had plenty to sing about.https://www.twitter.com/i/moments/725435123303329792 …

Stacey Abrams ends her challenge against Republican Brian Kemp for Georgia governor. Abrams: “Let’s be clear, this is not a speech of concession because concession means to acknowledge an action is right, true, or proper. I cannot concede that.”https://twitter.com/i/events/1063558948807041024 …
