If you're a reporter covering the NZ shooting, you should talk to an expert/reporter concentrated on extremism before you report out this stuff tomorrow. Especially if you're going to report out that alleged manifesto! Context and nuance is important in these cases. Crucial.

I'm a proud Santa Barbara City College student. People were disappointed that I didn't attend a 4yr right out of HS - I had the grades, so why not? I wanted a different experience and have never regretted it for a second.

  6. Whether its the Hijab, the Kippah, or the Dastar, people who wear these symbols of faith every day not only have to deal with verbal harassment, assault, and the prospect of murder. They also have to deal with constant impolite stares and hurtful questions. It's exhausting.

  11. People who choose to wear symbols of their faith in public are some of the bravest people I know. They know they are opening themselves up to harassment or much worse. But their love of faith rises above any fears they may have. We must do everything we can to love & protect them

A coordinated mass shooting during Friday congregational prayers at two different mosques. Horrified and heartbroken. But tomorrow we will still fill our mosques here in America to worship together, and pray for the lives shattered by this awful act of hate.

Beto O’Rourke is asked if he supports reparations. He launches into an impassioned answer, saying “we have systemic racism in this country,” “it’s important to have this conversation,” and it’s time for “a reckoning.” But doesn’t provide a yes or no on if he supports reparations.
