The Price Of Free

Kailash Satyarthi left a career as an electrical engineer and started Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save the Childhood Movement) to rescue children from slavery.

ABOUT US

Nobel Peace Laureate Mr. Satyarthi’s experience and proven track record of almost 4 decades at both the grassroots and global policy level uniquely position him to expand and build his work globally through the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation (KSCF).

We believe that all children must live freely with dignity and have the fundamental right to be safe, healthy and educated in order to realize their potential. In order to make this a reality, KSCF focuses on the 3Ps: Policy, Practice and People.

Policy:  Identify gaps in policy, share research and practical solutions, and build the capacity of governments, businesses and communities to ensure policies and laws meet children’s needs and are enforced.

Practice: Scale proven child-friendly programs and practices to ensure the freedom, health and education of children and youth.

People: Tap the power of children and young people to fight for their own freedom and rights, and stand up for millions of their peers living in exploitation.

Central to all our work is partnership – building trust and collaboration between and among key stakeholders. KSCF will bring together governments, the private sector and civil society (including youth) to create a solid alliance of individuals, organizations, businesses and nations, standing together until no child anywhere is deprived of their freedom.

In addition, KSCF US supports KSCF India in many of its programs through research and outreach efforts.
