UCAN hosted an Anti-Bully Conference at our facility (Mt Vernon Baptist Church) for the Westwood Community. Words cannot express the supreme level of professionalism, positive energy, and integrity that was displayed by UCAN. The community is still buzzing over such a dynamic event and are looking forward to doing it again. Most importantly hundreds of young people were touched and impacted. UCAN is top notched.

UCAN of Memphis is one of the best nonprofits in the city. They are visible in the community and work diligently to improve the lives of the youth and young adults in Memphis. Under the leadership of Executive Director Leshundra Robinson, UCAN has become a signature organization in the community. It takes a compassionate leader to consistently go into the community and touch lives. This is what UCAN is; it not only touches lives as it relates to bullying and workforce development they touch lives far beyond that. UCAN is led by a visionary leader who uses her life as an example of what perseverance and faith can accomplish. This organization is like no other within the City of Memphis, most organizations will lead by name. UCAN leads with the heart; they live the mission and the vision of developing people from the inside out.

I am reminded of a quote by Robin S. Sharma as it relates to UCAN of Memphis “Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It's about impact, influence, and inspiration. Impact involves getting results, influence is about spreading the passion you have for your work, and you have to inspire team-mates and customers.” Ms. Robinson and UCAN have made a great impact on the City, through loving and living what they do. From the City of Memphis and the Memphis Ambassadors Program, we thank you for work, dedication, and faithful service to the youth of Memphis.

UCAN of Memphis is dedicated to guiding and mentoring youth to become future leaders who can drive the Memphis community forward. Working in classrooms, community centers and churches, UCAN instills values and skills that students can take into adulthood. The anti-bullying program is an integral part of their work. I applaud UCAN for the thousands of young lives it has touched and I am honored to serve on the board of directors.

UCAN of Memphis does a sterling job of engaging youth in positive, uplifting activity. From its active mentoring and college readiness programs to its anti bullying workshops, UCAN is changing the landscape of Memphis in an impactful way.

Ms. Leshundra Robinson, UCAN's Executive Director, did an anti-bullying workshop at our church with a moment's notice that had the full attention of all of our youth. We saw improvement in their behavior in the weeks after the presentation, and several of them remembered much of what was shared in the workshop.

Memphis is the better for having UCAN as a part of its fabric

UCAN of Memphis has helped so many students from bullying to Leadership. When they thought they couldn’t do it, UCAN of Memphis said they could. They helped me to prepare for an interview by providing me with blazers and pearls. They taught me self confidence which helped me to overcome my anxiety. I’m thankful for Organizations like UCAN of Memphis.

UCAN of Memphis is a non-profit like none other. As a teenager who has been a part of this organization since middle school, I can truly say how committed this non-profit is toward the youth in various cities. I can recall many times where UCAN has held conferences, teen talk sessions, and other events that were beneficial to many students and the stories that the students tell after those sessions are filled to the brim with thanks. UCAN of Memphis will continue to strive as a non-profit whose goal is to be of assistance to young adolescents, whether it be bullying or workforce preparedness, to ensure that the generation coming up will significantly impact society in a positive way and manner.

Ucan is a nonprofit of strength, determination and perseverance. Over the years, this organization has grown from a small change to major positive changes in Memephis. Ucan does so much in this city that is unrecognized. This does not stop them from being great. From feeding the homeless to forums to stop bullying, this organization makes a difference. Leshundra and the Ucan represent the best Memphis has to offer. I will continue my support and hope others will too!!

UCAN of Memphis is the best non profit organization an individual can partake in, especially for students with aspirations and dreams. I became a member in early 2015, and I have been happy with my experience for the last almost 3 years. The members of UCAN aren't just individuals who started a non profit to help others fulfill their purpose, but they are people who are working and going the extra mile to help everyone be the best version of themselves on all accounts, and helping people to tap into the mentality that "You can achieve now." So don't think otherwise. To me, UCAN is like a second hand spirit. Because every since I have joined, I have become in tune with my nature of helping others and being positive and successful in a society where i am expected to fail and crumble, the spirit of UCAN that lives within me, forever instills in me because I know I have the power to not only achieve my goals for myself, but help others get to that same place as well. This organization has continuously emphasized unity and the significance of unity from the beginning, and now that I have the UCAN spirit within me, I will carry it with me until the end. Truly, the best organization ever. Go Ms.Robinson and others who are apart of UCAN and even prospective UCAN members.
