Connolly Ranch relies on the support of the Napa community to make it possible to offer field trips to over 4,000 kids and family programs and free events to another 5,000 people. What we do

Children’s Programs

Connolly Ranch offers nature-based, tactile, interactive and experiential activities that promote age-appropriate growth and development for young children in an alternative play-based format fall, winter, spring and summer. Some programs are drop-in, while others run as part of a series, and all programs operate rain or shine.

Camps
Our one-week day camps change weekly (Life on the Farm, Art Exploration, Farm-to-Table Cooking and Ecology Play), so children may attend more than one camp and learn different things each week. Camps are also offered during spring and winter break. Our new one-day School Holiday Playdays provide fun activities that brighten any holiday.

Special Events
Connolly Ranch hosts three special events each year. Earth Night in April is a springtime festival and fundraiser celebrating arts, music, movement and nature. Our annual Harvest Festival in the fall is our thank you to the community. And Dinner at the Ranch is our not-to-be-missed event featuring dinner and dancing under the stars and more.

Family Programs
Connolly Ranch offers variety of farm-based environmental education programs, including Sounds of Silence, Nature’s Play and Fun Family Fridays, that provide perfect a fun way to spend time with your little one. Walk-in Wednesdays are the ideal opportunity for the whole family to enjoy time at the Ranch.

Field Trips
Connolly Ranch offers engaging, hands-on educational programs designed to meet California state standards for each grade level. Watch as science, language arts, history, physical education and nutrition come to life while your students are having fun learning.

After School
After school on early release Wednesday is a great opportunity for kids to explore nature, be active, experience farm-life and also get some homework done. Our Ecology Play Club (EPiC) on Wednesday afternoons is for students in 1st through 5th grade.

Mission

At Connolly Ranch, kids and families learn about farm life, the role of animals, ecology, sustainability, and an appreciation for nature. We teach organic gardening, the sources and benefits of healthy foods and knowledge of how nature works to sustain us. Connolly Ranch serves over 6,000 children and adults each year through preschool-aged programs, seasonal camps and field trips, serving many underserved schools.

With a mission of connecting kids and families to nature through farm-based education, Connolly Ranch aims to encourage the next generation of environmental stewards.
