What's the policy?
To protect our users’ online safety and comply with local laws, Twitter prohibits the advertising or promotion of illegal products and services.
All advertising, as well as the products and services being advertised, must clearly comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Products with questionable legality and compliance will be reviewed conservatively.
How does this policy vary from country to country?
In addition to the above illegal products and services, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Egypt, Guatemala, India, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, the Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Ukraine and United Arab Emirates have additional restrictions. As a result, Twitter prohibits advertising of the following products per country as described below:
Brazil
Infant food, milk substitutes/formula, and feeding bottles.
Chile
Fast food products and services.
Ecuador
Infant food, milk substitutes/formula, and feeding bottles.
Egypt
Pig, pork products and its derivatives.
Guatemala
The music genre Reggaeton.
India
Infant food, milk substitutes/formula, and feeding bottles.
Kuwait
Pig, pork products and its derivatives.
Malaysia
Pig, pork products and its derivatives.
Mexico
Ads using national symbols, anthems or flags.
Pakistan

Philippines

Ads using national symbols, anthems or flags

Employment agencies advertising overseas jobs to the Philippines must hold a license with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.
Qatar
Ads using the national flag without permission.
Russia

Informational products without applicable age ratings. An informational product is a product intended for circulation in the mass media (e.g., TV, radio), a printed product (e.g., magazine, newspaper), an audiovisual product in any form (e.g., computer programs), databases, as well as information disseminated by means of entertaining activities and information placed in informational and telecommunication networks (including the Internet).

Advertisements targeting Russia must be in the Russian language.
Saudi Arabia
Pig, pork products and its derivatives.
Serbia
Infant food, milk substitutes/formula, and feeding bottles.
Ukraine
It is prohibited to use or imitate the images of the State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, the State Flag of Ukraine, the sounding of the State Anthem of Ukraine in advertising.
United Arab Emirates
Pig, pork products and its derivatives.
